Self harm

Self harm

I feel like my thoughts are out of control they are around SH, am safe but am struggling with the thoughts I have been so stressed the thoughts are just coming back. I don't want to have my addiction to SH again. I want to stay clean.

Re: Self harm

Hi there @Fluttershy1 . Thanks for the tag!

I'm okay here in Melbourne although it had been quite windy and stormy in the last few hours. Apparently, the weather was pretty bad around 3am but I wasn't aware of it because I was sound asleep, trying to sleep away my bad mental state after having issues with my sister earlier in the nigh, but my housemate said my cat and her didn't enjoy the weather with the cat being unable to settle down anywhere. My housemate gave her a cuddle and tried to calm her down which seemed to work but even my housemate was scared of the bad weather so it must have been pretty bad.

How are you going? What's the weather like where you are? Are you okay?

Re: Self harm

Wow! @Fluttershy1 ! You braved the shops! Congrats! Im avoiding the shops as much as possible. I can only 'feel' the crowds on Melbourne's non-essential-shops opening night!

One thing I have to admit is that having retail closed puts strain on ppl's MH as many thrive on retail therapy. I do, once in a while, but I can only imagine those who need it regularly.

Re: Self harm

It wasn't busy @BPDSurvivor, I thought it was going to be really busy but it wasn't. Family wasn't happy that I wanted to go. We had a argument over it

Re: Self harm

That's good to hear that it wasn't busy @Fluttershy1

As for your family, it sounds like there's still a lot to work out.

I hope you can speak to a professional about managing what comes up in your relationship between family members. As with all relationships, there's needs to be a balance of give-take. A mutual understanding and agreement.

As I've said before, we can't change people, but we can change ourselves.

I hope you'll be able to find a functional balance to live by.

Cheers,

BPDSurvivor
