Walking for Wellness and Healthy Habits

Walking for Wellness and Healthy Habits

  • So I took part in Topic Tuesday this evening on Physical Activity for Mental Health. I feel motivated so I am going to give up my couch potato ways and start to make an effort to get outside to walk for exercise. I am hoping that I will improve my mental health whilst losing weight and increasing fitness. I am going to keep you updated about my progress here. Feel free to join in - the more the merrier! Maybe we can help motivate each other.

@perspective doggo looks smart in his coat.

I didn't walk yesterday and had to push myself today. The magpies are enjoying the damp ground.

Hi guys,

I went for a very short walk today. Plan on starting to walk seriously again from tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Re: Walking for Wellness

That's good news @Oaktree . Yes, good luck.

Poor old Tabs @TAB you've been lacking TLC. Wish there was a way to help. Hope you find someone local - I remember the old Yellow Pages shtick of letting your fingers do the walking. Seems oddly appropriate.

How are you going with the Nordic walking @Former-Member ? Does it take long to get the knack?

Re: Walking for Wellness

Yes I even copied a list of places to ring a week ago. Not sure what happened to that @Dimity

Re: Walking for Wellness

Hope you refind the list @TAB. If not at least you've broken the ice and can redo it.

I've got to talk myself into printing tax receipts. A couple of weeks ago I wasted 3/4 hr at the local library queueing them for printing when the printer was down. I'd procrastinated for months but I guess having tried once I can do it again.

Re procrastination I rushed to library Saturday to print paperwork off to get inheritance @Dimity luckily it worked as after giving me the hurry up , staff logged me off computer so couldn't check what I done before leaving. Guess they consider 20 minutes to closing Closed. Lol
