Walking for Wellness and Healthy Habits

Walking for Wellness and Healthy Habits

  • So I took part in Topic Tuesday this evening on Physical Activity for Mental Health. I feel motivated so I am going to give up my couch potato ways and start to make an effort to get outside to walk for exercise. I am hoping that I will improve my mental health whilst losing weight and increasing fitness. I am going to keep you updated about my progress here. Feel free to join in - the more the merrier! Maybe we can help motivate each other.

Thanks @Oaktree

It probably applies to big workouts more. Often my sets were small, so not that big a deal. More is not always better. Its when and how.

Keep up the studies.

Re: Walking for Wellness and Healthy Habits

@TAB I haven't done resistance training for a couple of years. Years ago when I was a gym goer I alternated mainly cardio with mainly weights.

I've been slack with core training for lumbar back issues.

Don't be too hard on yourself, I think you've had a lot of medical issues and some surgeries?

When I was building my walking habit the hardest thing was putting on shoes and getting out the door. Anything else was a bonus. I still walk but not far or fast. My initial problem was committing to where and when. How far was organic, I started small.
