@saltandpepper

I think @Anastasia is just taking some time out to process her thoughts and feelings about things. She will come back.

The person I have been talking about contacted me today. She didnt say alot and neither did I. Just said she was good and her head was spinning because she is so busy. That was all. I just said sure. Take care of yourself when you can. I could not even muster myself to say anything else. I was feeling to emotional and very low. I cannot even express how much this got to me in here, nor all my feelings nor my emotions. I just feel I cannot talk. I am confused, sad and hurt.

We would spend hours and I mean sometimes 3 hours talking on the phone, having so much in common. I thought I had made a new friend. This is all just so confusing. I have to be strong in myself and honor the things I feel and not just put them to the side if she gets in touch. Am I being selfish? Sometimes I feel like I am.

Hey @Powderfinger You are absolutely not being selfish. Any relationship/friendship is a two way street but you also need to look after yourself first.

Re: Nervous breakdown

Hi. Yes, I need to take care of myself. I just don't want negativity and others heavy stuff around me. It doesn't do me any real good. I get drained very quickly. It just pulls me so much further down and the minute it starts happening around me I want to run away.

Living in the town I live in is not good either. I cannot live here. I have a lease for six months and I think I'm going to have to leave. There are soooo many problems and it being a very small town, it's like you can't escape or avoid it. It's really a very negative place to be.

The crime rate is so high. The robberies here are incredibly high. Daily in fact. There's fights and drunkenness out in public and that's during the day. The housing crisis here has hit really hard and many people cannot find a home. Some people going to live on the streets, in their cars or with their parents if they can fit them in.

Look the list is big. I don't even want to go out anymore. I get panic attacks and anxiety. I know I need to move from this town. It is also very isolating. Either side of me the next big city centre is 4 hours drive away so at times I feel like I'm stuck on an island that nobody knows about or knows that it even exists and weird things happen here. This is how it feels to me.

Re: Nervous breakdown

I have seen you talk previously about moving from where you currently live @Powderfinger and from everything you have said it seems like that would be both a good idea and a new start for you. Do you have any idea where you would like to move to? (Don't mention any specific places - just asking if you have thought about where you would like to go). Moving is a big thing but the planning and organising can be exciting also.

@Zoe7

Yes, I think it would be. I actually haven't thought of a place or any places I would like to live. I really don't know. I also don't even have any ideas of how to look or where to look. Moving is a big deal. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel in 5 months time when my lease is up either. 5 months is also such a short time. It goes so quick.

Re: Nervous breakdown

% months does seem to go quick @Powderfinger That will also make it around Christmas time which is such a full on period anyway. It would be great if you have somewhere to go already sorted but take your time and maybe go for some day trips in the meantime to suss out some places.

Sorry for late reply. I've been trying to take time out and had a busy day today. I feel so lost with everything actually. I'm just trying to figure out a day, sometimes just a minute. I find it hard to think ahead. I also have a career so that is on my mind often. I worked hard for my career. I don't want to lose my hard work.

Re: Nervous breakdown

There is certainly a lot for you to consider @Powderfinger but it seems like taking it slowly and a day at a time right now is all you can do - and that is okay 👍
