I've just made myself a cuppa and would love a friend if anyone is around?

I had an early night last night @ArraDreaming and went to bed with aches and pains.
Woke up and felt ew..... took meds and felt better, but now I'm starting to feel a bit eww again. I'll take more cold and flu.
Oh well... such is life.
I complained to my sister and told her I have NEVER been this sick this much in my life until I moved in next door to them. I always get what the kids get. Kiddy germs, yuck. I should just go back to my own house lol.

Hi @Shaz51, how are you? I'm having a new, somewhat delicate and thorny experience. There's a woman I'm in love with who's quite strongly attracted to me, but she has issues with my myriad mental health problems.
When I met her I decided it was best to be fully honest with her about that from the start because in any relationship I have with anyone they're present, and I want her to know what they are so she won't feel baffled about them, or that they might be somehow a response to her. I also think it's best to do it that way because it gives her time to get over the shock of being in love with someone who has my abuse issues and personality scars, and then she could look up from them and at me and think "Yeah, I want to try to have him in my life."
She's daunted by it, and is making her own decision, but in the meantime i'm reminded of the lines of a Billy Joel song called "And So It Goes" - "and I would choose to be with you, that's if the choice were mine to make; but you can make decisions too, and you can have this heart to break.". My mental health and my heart have been broken so much by other people (not by her) that I feel I face a bleakly lonely future.

Hello @Abner
Thank you for the tag my friend , sitting with you in this situation
The woman in your life may feel daunted by what you said and I am wondering if she is overthinking instead of taking one day at a time which is hard sometimes
When I met my partner, I fell in love with him and I did not try and change him because of his mental illness issues
Have you both talked about what you would like in the relationship
For me I think the next step is to relax a little and enjoy spending time together , getting to know each other but not the mental health issues
Here for you
@tyme
