Welcome and getting started

Introduction

Introduction

Hi guys I am new here but just skipped over introducing myself and threw myself straight into the forums so let's rewind a minute.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar Affective Disorder in 1990. It changed my life and not in a good way. My mother said "now you will never do anything with your life" and my Aunt said "we should put her in an institution". It was right then that I decided that I would live the best life I possibly could with this illness. I since met and married my husband and we had 3 gorgeous children who have all now reached adulthood. I have been in and out of hospital a lot since around 2008 and somewhere along the way had BPD added to my diagnosis. I enjoy art and crafts, playing computer games and watching tv. I was working with a psychologist and we were going to work on childhood trauma as I grew up in an abusive household but I kept getting sick so we are currently on a break. Not sure if I want to go back to therapy at this point in time. Not sure what else to add so I will just leave it here. Feel free to ask questions x

@Oaktree very dry, Love it. had to wait , cant laugh and type out morse.

Meggle, I'll likely , snatch the purse, mount my mare, and its dusts trails to Bolivia, with a possie in hot pursuit. . . You must check in your side arm, and entrust your silver to the sheriff

of this dust devilled ghost town. He temperament is as fickle as a scorpion in your

boot, and a deadly draw besides. So keep the sun in his eyes, and hug the shadows.

If the bottle on the bar is laying on its side . . . dripping its last lifeblood ,

then best Tag me from across the border gringo. . .

nother thread... Safely away from innocent, god faring town folk. . .

Now can you see why LeChuck doesn't take my collar of too often. . . .

We'll share a campfire soon my friend. . . . tonys moonbase 1

Re: Introduction

I quite like the idea of camping in some ruins, a swag and a bottle of tequila by the fire. But I think we're camping in the abandoned ruins of a thriving saloon that I'm going to renovate (with some help if you're up for it) and restore to its former glory!

Just like me!

I think we'll keep the rattlesnake and the pig iron friendly vibe though. Leave a few cracks in the walls 🙂

I am completely lost in this world of threads too. Seems like I'm talking to the same people about 5 different things in 10 different places! Sorry to add another to your growing list @tonys! there will never be pressure to reply here because I know the feel. I had 22 notifications this morning. I *think* I've replied to everything but I really have no idea.

I'm not as good as fitting in as you guys. I just wanted a place to be me and not worry what anyone thinks or if I've said the right thing. Where there are no wrong answers and no hand biting. Somewhere safe and some nutty fellow travellers to shoot the breeze with.

You are on a wanted posters Tony's and @Oaktree, but there are no bounty hunters in this town, and the sheriff is on the take. Just pop in and out whenever you feel like it. There's no slave labour on this jobsite! No need to tag me in. Do your thang guys!

Ps. I'm actually a Scorpio tonys! So good guess. I try not to be as vicious and deadly as my star sign!

As for being the sheriff... I'd rather be a lazy bartender! But we play the hand we're given. So if I'm to be a sheriff I hope can be a good one. I'm don't want to rule the roost and boss around the citizens! But I'll try my best to be there to protect them if they ever need me.

Re: Introduction

@Oaktree it is a joy to have you around!

Sometimes I barely understand what's going on the forums so it's nice to have a little spot where I'm not confused. Actually, more like somewhere where it's ok to be confused! I would love to be confused with you!

The only entry requirement is you must be at least 10% cheeky ratbag! (But I think Tony's has some to spare if you ever need it 🙂)

Speaking of @tonys I hope that I haven't dragged you around the country then shipped you over the border against your will friend. If a Mexican ghost town populated by a loon isn't where you want to hang your hat I completely understand! I never want to tame or collar you. I like having a wrecking ball swinging around the minefield.

LeChuck xx

Howdy fellas @LeChuck @tonys

If we are renovating the old saloon I would like to be the corset wearing waitress. Today my corset is sparkly purple with a feather trim. Now what can I get for you gentlemen? Actually maybe you should get to work on the demolition first. Don’t want you getting inebriated before using sledgehammers. Hope we can pay the Sheriff off to turn a blind eye to the going ons in our happy little establishment. What’s that noise? Oh it’s ok, there’s just a gunfight in the street. Duck!

But... What if I want to be the waitress!?

Sledge-hammering and taking bribes is hard work!

Oh @LeChuck

I have a spare corset here for you! Bright pink little number. Sure it will fit you ok!

Re: Introduction

@Oaktree Why was I thinking saloon meant like a bar in jungle? I so did not have the wild west in mind for that whole conversation. I was picturing like vines and bamboo furniture and people in safari hats. I know what saloon and sheriffs and stuff means but something just didn't line up in my brain.

I'll take a corset though. I'll totally rock it.

Re: Introduction

@LeChuck

Yes I am sure you will rock it. Do you need to borrow my make up brushes too?

Yes our Saloon is in the Wild West out Mexico way. Very lawless little town. Much excitement to be had.

Nah I got makeup brushes coming out the wazoo. I went through a phase when I was a full on obsessed with makeup. How was your day @Oaktree ?
