Hi @LostAngel @ArraDreaming @Ybother @Snowie @NatureLover @Shaz51 @WIP @BPDSurvivor and all forumites here. Just checking into see how lockdown is treating you for all those in Melbourne and regional Victoria. How are things in your part of the world? Are you entirely free or partly free like I am?
To be honest, lockdown for me has been hard this past week as I'm really missing the library and not having any academic work to do, besides helping my housemate with her tafe studies in mental health. I've had an ndis review meeting via phone on Monday afternoon which went surprisingly well and I had a scholarship phone interview for a Tafe mental health course this morning to ensure I'm suitable not only for the scholarship but for the course and a career in mental health as well. I've decided to go back and continue uni part time in my psychology course as well in case I don't get accepted into the mental health course as the tafe is really messing around with the enrolment process. I will continue to do both courses should I get in as uni is purely online which means I can study when I'm not at tafe 2 days a week.
I don't like having restrictions put on me, especially when the cases aren't in my area and all because the government can't handle quarantine properly. The checking in of places is also difficult for me as I feel like I'm be followed by the government and I don't really know what they'll use that information for, besides contact tracing purposes so they say. The freedoms that metro Melbourne get back at midnight tonight are also pathetic in my view and not really freedoms at all.
I just want life back to normal with me doing my usual things without government interference. It really is a true test of my resilience and I'm surprised at how well I'm honestly coping. I'm trying really hard to live my life as well as possible but it is hard.
Take care and stay safe forumites!
