Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Hi @Judi9877 , @TAB and all in this thread. Thankyou for the support and encouragement and well done on your daily achievements!

Yesterday I managed to
- get up;
- have a cold shower (because gas ran out);
- dress to impress (lol - jeans, boots and t-shirt);
- drive into town and complete town tasks;
- make a couple of important phone calls.

The main plan for today is an early morning 400km round trip to look at a potential property. I can't seem to get back to sleep so I thought I'd post here.

Take care everyone and keep up the good work.

Hi @Judi9877 @TAB @RedHorse @BPDSurvivor @MDT

Some great achievements you should all be proud!

I have achieved some things today and pretty happy with my progress. The last few days I have felt overwhelmed. Today I submitted an assigment and started another one as the study is wrapping up in about 2 weeks so at the pointy end.

Other things I did today:

- walked to the beach

- took my daughter to school and picked her up

- booked an appointment at the doctor

- booked an appointment at the dentist

- cooked dinner (made satay chicken, rice and vegetables)

- chatted with my friend on social media

I hope you all have a great night.

Good evening @LostAngel @TAB @pinklollipop15 @RedHorse @BPDSurvivor @frog @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Daisydreamer and everyone here! A special hello to @cakie181 - this is the Daily Achievements! thread @Shaz51 and I mentioned earlier. Make yourself feel welcome 🤗 ! Great work on all of your achievements everyone👍🏻⭐️

This list of achievements is a combination of both yesterday's achievements and today's with yesterday's being first, if that makes any sense!

Yesterdays achievements were:

- I cliff my fortnightly psych subject quiz and got a Credit result

- I did some Sane Community Guide training on the first module and finished it and then started the second module

- I wrote down my list of Good Things for my psychologist in my notebook from a few days over the weekend to eventually email him when I get around to it!

- I posted on Facebook

- I drive to the local shops alone to get some groceries as my housemate didn't want to come and survived the supermarket without panicking

Today's achievements have been:

- I finished off knitting the extra section for the second part of my Mental Health Recovery Blanket after measuring it 30cm too short and then finally seeing it up and taking a photo of it (see Knitting thread for more details and a photo of the blanket)

- I finally received my booktopia order with my psych subject textbook in it at long last despite the study period being half over.
- I watched the Melbourne Cup on TV like I usually do being a Melbourne girl (I've only

ever missed really watching 1 Cup and that was only because I had a uni exam was on in my first year when I was in Tassie so it's a tradition to watch it for me)

- I had pizza for dinner after deciding not to cook tonight

- I watched Home and Away on TV

Keep those achievements coming through forumites and remember to celebrate all achievements, no matter how big, small, easy or hard they may be!

Re: Daily Achievements!

Thank you for sharing @Judi9877 ! I think is it so important to share our achievements with each other - as you said, no matter how big or small.

For now, my achievement is getting to work on time as well as phoning an elderly neighbour to check on him to make sure he is ok.
