Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Well done @LostAngel I've had an interesting day myself....

- Did some ayurvedic oil pulling for oral health. Listened to some health audios.

- Both a lovely book to read and a crystal grid layout sheet which I created and had laminated arrived.

- I later worked out how to clear and charge the Vogel crystal on the crystal grid layout sheet with the other clear quartz I had so I can start working with some bigger shifts in my life

- I read a channelled information daily cosmic guide report which is something I love.

- I learned how to get to the new postal depot by public transport. Its amazing its easier to get to than I previously thought!!!

- I realise I have got to lose weight. Its not easy on this med I'm on. I hardly eat anything.

- Went for a 30 minute walk.

- Had a telehealth appt with my doctor who wants to run tests.

- And now I am unwinding for the day.

- May do some Yin Qigong

Good evening @Former-Member @LostAngel @TAB @Daisydreamer @ShiningStar @Anastasia @frog @BPDSurvivor @Former-Member @Former-Member @pinklollipop15 and all forumites here.

Today, my major achievement was that I survived moving house to my new rental property 10 minutes away and lasted the whole 7.5 hours of it! I did have several periods of where I felt like I couldn't cope and had to have some time alone to regather myself whereby I sat in my car and often spoke to my sister on the phone to help me get through the period. I also spoke to my housemate who helped with the move and she was really good- cool, calm and collected unlike me who just couldn't cope at times!

- I also celebrated the move by eating out at the local pub which I had chicken and mushroom risotto for dinner

- I spent time working on my Mental Health Recovery Blanket after the move to help me calm down and relax.

- I had a relaxing hot shower with some lavender shower gel later tonight in my new units shower which has great water pressure but limited hot water unfortunately as I like long showers.

- I posted on Facebook several times as well to remind myself of this very busy and stressful day.

- I emailed my psychologist to let him know about how I handled the move so we can discuss it at our next appointment.

Take care!

Hello @Judi9877 & Housemate,

Really great to hear about how the move went and how you dealt with it.

Your discussion sounded clear, spaced and relevant, from my point of view. So, from my perspective and, I hope also of others, a good roundup of a successful days work and accomplishment.

With Best Wishes

Re: Daily Achievements!

Hi @Judi9877

It’s so lovely to hear from you

In my experience, finding ways to regulate our emotions when we’re feeling distressed and overwhelmed can be incredibly challenging

As I read this part of your story, I really loved the way that you were able to take care of yourself during these moments and find a way to achieve some of the things that were important to you - this is such an amazing achievement

Enjoying a chicken and mushroom risotto sounds like a wonderful (and delicious) way to celebrate all of your achievements

Oh wow! I love the sound of the ‘mental health recovery blanket’ that you’re creating and as such, I just ever so gently wondered if you could please share a little bit more about this?

Take kind and gentle care of yourself,

ShiningStar
