Hi @hope77

I'm sorry to hear that it took a psychosis for some of the weight to shift. Is that because the psychosis means you stop eating?

Maybe there is something wrong with the net today - we are both having trouble. Want to try again tomorrow? If so, you pick the time and I'll be there.👍

OK, as it has been a while, I am guessing that you are having trouble with the site, so I will try again at 2pm my time tomorrow - that's 4 for you, but if that's no good, just give me another time and I will be there.

Oh @hope77, before I forget, I am not good at volunteering information about myself because I can't imagine it is of interest to anyone, so please just ask whatever you want to know. I don't have a problem telling people about me, other than that.

Are you there?

Re: @jewels and @hope77

Hi @hope77

I'm thinking that perhaps you are having trouble with the net again or perhaps you have commitments today. That being the case, I will wait to hear from you.

Hopefully we can get to know each other in here.

Re: @jewels and @hope77

Hey, @Jewels Yeah I have been busy today and also when I post something I have to leave and come back to see if you have posted back. I think we won't set a time. we should just post when we can. if that's ok. like the snail mail. lol. I was really interested in your diagnoses of motor neurone. you have to be tough to deal with that. I hope I can give you enough friendship to maybe carry you through a little. you also said that you wanted to know why you family treated badly. my family brothers and sisters mainly treated be like shit. and thought it was funny. my mother beat me on several occasions so much so I used to go to school not only bruises but wet underwear and other children would laugh at me and say I stunk. I had no one to defend me. that is only one story. many more, but I'd rather talk to you about how I overcame the hurt. first, I went through the grief of it when I was about 25. then for many years I question it why? then I cut my brothers and sisters off and my mother. but only my mother for a little. because she had bipolar plus she was abused by her family. we never talked about it. I sensed that it was too hard for her. I just forgave her. but still, at 52 I have not got a relationship with my brothers or sister I can't forgive them because they still treat me badly. So I don't have anything to do with them. Some people admit they wrong and change or get help to change. Some people just live life and don't care who they hurt. because it's too hard for them to change but mostly they have to be right.i have a husband who I married last year and he loves me and my son from a previous marriage that's all I have and that's enough for me and can't forget some really good people here.had a tough day today but getting better as night falls. how's you day been

Hi @hope77

Yes, that's a great idea! We can then just post when it suits rather than trying to get together when it isn't instant anyway.

I am lucky with my diagnosis because of the types of Motor Neurone, I have the one that moves slowest, which is very lucky. Some people are dead within three months of diagnosis. Within my subgroup, the neurologist says that I am moving slowly so I have more time up my sleeve than many.

Wow, I started writing this last night and lost half of it, so I will post this bit and then keep going on the rest. Stay tuned!

Re: @jewels and @hope77

Hi @hope77

oh, that's terrible, the way your family treated you! I'm so sorry that happened to you. I can understand cutting your family off, I did the same thing with my sisters. Like you, I wasn't about to let them keep treating me the way they always had. Yes, people do think they are always right, my elder sister was forever telling me that my memory was wrong and hers was right and of course, she was always the hero! She would always say "that's YOUR truth" as though MY perspective was wrong, simply because it was mine.

I am pleased you have a husband and son; I have neither. I wish I had at least one person, flesh and blood, not virtual, in my life.

Yesterday was OK and today is fine too, thanks.

Oh, I couldn't think what else to tell you about my Motor Neurone Disease, so just let me know what you would like to know. 🤔

Has today been kind to you?

Re: @jewels and @hope77

Hey @Jewels been away for a couple of days to a place called Gympie. My husband wanted to buy a new car. It seemed silly to go that far away just to buy a car but the older I'm getting the more I'm seeing what makes us happy is seeing others happy, and that is not silly. last night we stayed at a hotel and after dinner, we went for a walk love the clean air of country towns, anyway, when we were coming back we saw an echidna it hid behind a post never seen one in real life I just wish I had brought my phone so I could have taken a photo. but it so great to see. where I live is just urban sprawl. I read a little about motor neurone and I'm glad yours is a slow one. You can catch your breath between stages. Not bloody fair thou. All I can say about you family is only you have the right to how you feel about their treatment of you. It's their job to stop the rot of denial and treat you with the respect you deserve and always have deserved. take care @Jewels O I'll read more on Motor neurone.

Hi @hope77
Sorry I haven't been in touch. I have started to plan my funeral and it has really hit me hard.
I'll try to write more tomorrow.
Hope you're well.

Re: @jewels and @hope77

Hey @Jewels that's got to be tough. So sorry you have to do that. I found it hard just writing a will and buying funeral bonds. I haven't been around either being finding out who is doing research into Complex Mental illness so I could make a small donation. as well My hubby not well this week with swollen foot due to many Colon Cancer operations. But at least he cancer free. Feel scared of asking sweetheart but do you think your time is near. or are you just being organised? Hopefully the later. Had a funny thing happen this week. Left my phone at the local Woolworths. Got home did not realize for about an hour. Panic set in then realised, rushed down, Went to the counter and the best-looking guy shop assistant in his 40's was serving. Anyway, embrassrest I asked did you find a phone, as I stood there my knee felt weak and I just fell down. He and another assistant ran around to me, I must have been twenty shades of red(face) They were going to call the ambos, but I said no I'm ok. Anyway got my phone back rang hubby who hobbles down to get me. As I got home I said Shit I left my purse on the counter. So had to go back and get it. If I was a drinker I felt this was a perfect time to have one. lol. I do hope you're ok. I just know you are a good person and pray that you enjoy a little of life. I pray for you not that I'm pushing religion on you I pray because I do care.
