Re: feeling lonely

@butterfly101 i hope you have been able to get some sleep. Insomnia is just awful and i find it an indicator of where my mental health is at any given time. Sleep like a lot of things is a habit and when i go through bouts of insomnia i often have to take prescription medication for a few days to help me sleep reducing the dose once iv had a few hood sleeps. I try to limit screen time in the evenings, not nap, walk my dog od at leadt sit outside with a cup of tea daily to get some fresh air...have a nice bath, do a face mask, have a good book and a peppermint tea in bed. I keep a note pad beside the bed so i can write lists of things i need to do ir write down negative emotions and thoughts. Sleep will come eventually.

Re: feeling lonely

Butterfly101 I too suffer from chronic insomnia on and off, me too dependently on how I'm coping with my mental health at the time. I have been trying to introduce myself on this forum as I am new and haven't been able to due to a lack of technology where computers are concerned. I hope you are able to get back into a normal sleeping pattern and it sounds like you are doing all the right things. Good on you. I hope we can chat soon, maybe we have some tips and ideas we can share on getting to sleep when times are tough. Thinking of you and believe me I know how disturbing insomnia can be.
