Self-talk, telepathy and 'hearing voices'

Self-talk, telepathy and 'hearing voices'

Hello everyone. I recently did a post on Telepathy hoping to learn if others had also had experiences of it, so I am writing now as a follow-up. As previously mentioned I do not consider self-talk, telepathy and 'hearing voices' to be the same.

Self-talk is simply a normal, internal dialogue; telepathy is communication between attunded minds; and I would consider 'hearing voices' to be the expression of deeply repressed, unresolved past trauma. They are not the same.

Out of interest, I did a little searching on it and was surprised to find this article which supported my own experience, observations and what I have been taught.

I found it very interesting. www.spiritual-path.com/telepathy.htm

It seems that the phenomenon was even well understood in previous times and even Jung and Freud were aware of its occurrence. This information confirms my own understanding and I was surprised that Jung and I have made the same observations. I even found a university which has departments for parapsychology -which astounded me. Perhaps there are many others. It seems that even academics are aware of it.

I must add that poltergeists and certain other paranormal activities do not concur with my understanding of reality. Telepathy, though, most certainly does. It is simply a sense mostly dulled by the modern world or not understood for what it is.

Re: Self-talk, telepathy and 'hearing voices'

@HistoryloverHey Historylover I hear and see spooks both in the dream state and when I am awake. We once lived in a house full of spooks. The whole family saw and heard them. Over a period of time 3 would wake me up every night at the same time and would make me do terrible things to myself. Towards the end of us staying there I went literally mad. My daughter once saw a demon shadow moving around her room. The list goes on .... As for telapathy I was in my house with my eldest in his room and I called out to him in my mind and seconds later he came running down the stairs saying 'Yes mum'.

I believe in all of it. That being said I am very careful about what I read ..... you dont want to let bad things in.

Very interesting @Bunniekins I have never experienced any of what you refer to - only telepathy as I mentioned in my initial post a month or so ago. Of that I can be certain. Of the other - unless we experience these things for ourselves, we are sceptical.

Yes, I am very careful about what I read. In fact, I haven't even done much research on telepathy. I don't need to. I had just wanted to do a brief search into it to see how it is perceived more broadly. I considered that most folk would assume telepathy and 'hearing voices' to be the same thing. They are not. As for Jung and Freud - I am not a fan of Freud and know little about Jung. Perhaps I'll look into him - some day. I was just amazed at how that document confirmed my own understanding.
