Moving forward

Moving forward

As Monday looms I have been trying to work out how to move forward. Today I started collecting things for my coping box (thanks @Crazy_Bug_Lady). I bought some of my fave chocolates to put in and have been gathering bits and pieces. Happy for any other suggestions as to what to put in. I think I may need one for the car too. I'm thinking I may copy some pieces of wisdom from this forum and print them up to add in.

I'm hoping that I get to write more on this thread than the struggle thread as time goes by. Please feel free to add how you are moving forward as well. 💜😊

Re: Moving forward

Oh @Former-Member. Thank you for caring. I'm struggling with the same issue for the past month. My old friend & is he safe. And then my being ready to open up for love. These two thoughts should not go together, but as they occurred at the same time & he was my first love - I'm getting tangled up.
When I see my psychologist - it makes sense. He tells me whats ggoing on & explains what I need to do.
I walk out of his sessions feeling so much relief. I'm calm and centered for a few days. But then I keep slipping back into those old thought patters.
I must be doing okay mentally, if this is what I'm anxious about. Lol. No depression. No SI. just this constant over thinking.
So, in the grand scheme of things - going on in this forum - I'm doing well. With general life however, not so good.
I'm going to ask my psychologist if I can re enter the workforce at my next visit. Think I just have too much time to think.
Now. How are you coping after talking with the psychologist?

Re: Moving forward

Glad you are doing well @utopia .. you are so sensitive and sensible in so many of your posts. You deserve a good run.

@Former-Member I only just read about your TAFE course. It sounds wonderful. Dealing with conflict is so necessary .. and vibrant women from diverse cultures ... is a great stamping ground to learn about it.

@Appleblossom. Thank you. I wish I was a bit more sensible sometimes. But I'm happy being a sensitive soul. It makes me who I am.
And congratulations on your 'Celebrate Forum Award'. So glad you have been recognised for all the effort you put in.

Re: Moving forward

It does feel good to be back in Women's Ed @Appleblossom and very interesting with the cultural diversity. Some have fled war torn countries and so that is very grounding as well. The subject is going quite well apart from missing last week due to being in hospital.

@utopia Me thinks you are comparing yourself and your problems. I know exactly what you mean though and it it me the pot calling the kettle black so feel free to remind me of this next time I do it. In the end however we can only deal with the problems we are faced with and that affect us. Obviously this is having a big impact on you. Maybe it is a good time for you to gradually go back to work but it may not stop the thoughts. I was thinking that any time love comes into a problem it is likely to stage stage centre. It would for me too. Be gentle on yourself, I'm sure this will pass when the practical part of seeing him is over. I think it will help you with some clarity you need.
I just posted on sleeping about what is happening a bit. I've just had a week of things going wrong and then putting pressure on myself to be well and cope miraculously well which doesn't happen from a three night stay in hospital. I hope you find some peace with everything soon. Take care 💜🤗

Re: Moving forward

Thanks @Former-Member. I think my psychologist is just as frustrated that this meeting hasn't come about yet - because then it will be over.
I'll check out your posts on Sleeping Too Much.

Re: Moving forward

@Former-Member. I'm off the forum at the moment. A close friend - who I call my other mum - is in palliative care. So I'm taking time out just to focus on supporting her to a peaceful death - while trying to be a support to her family.
I'm exhausted & need to recharge my energy often. So I'm meditating and praying - in my own way. And spending time up on my mountain.
I'm doing okay and will catch up with you when I'm feeling stronger.
