Moving forward

Moving forward

As Monday looms I have been trying to work out how to move forward. Today I started collecting things for my coping box (thanks @Crazy_Bug_Lady). I bought some of my fave chocolates to put in and have been gathering bits and pieces. Happy for any other suggestions as to what to put in. I think I may need one for the car too. I'm thinking I may copy some pieces of wisdom from this forum and print them up to add in.

I'm hoping that I get to write more on this thread than the struggle thread as time goes by. Please feel free to add how you are moving forward as well. 💜😊

Re: Moving forward

@Faith-and-Hope. Any chance he will come with you to one of your appointments with a specialist - on the sneaky illusion that he is there to help you? I guess you've probably tried that. So yes it might be a case of waiting til he crashes - unfortunately.
Sending you my love and strength. ♥♥

Re: Moving forward

Tried everything available to us @utopia, the tried our own intervention when we realised no other help was available .... realised at that point just what we were up against .... a rock solid wall of denial and hostile resistance ....

Working with the support services available to us in another state .... ours requires a diagnosis before we are permitted to seek help .... other than talking to a psych for coping support .... but even then it can only be general information ....

Like my D1 says .... if you drop a brick on your foot and it turns purple, you can call it bruised .... !! For those in the know about his behaviour patterns and regimen, it couldn't be clearer ....

Well .... I've met all of you through it .... celebrating that part .... 😊 .... I'm not prepared to stop counting all the blessings I can find and stay as positive as I can ....

It's got us over big hurdles before .... faith and hope first in all things ....

Lol @Faith-and-Hope...in order to to know a nut, you've got to knock heads with the best of them!!
Your determination I love.
Whilst not a chuckling moment, I honestly know you are so brave.
You hold steady pace incredibly well. ☺💕

Re: Moving forward

Hey @Kurra thanks for your input last night on night shift. I had written you a long response and then by going squirrel lost it and spat my dummy to write it again then. I know some of the things that make me vulnerable and they are the same as most people. Lack of sleep or interrupted sleep is a big ticket item for me. The weather definately affects my mood especially this winter much more than I think I cared to admit. It seems I need the sun to be shining to have an ok day. I have started keeping a journal but I'm a bit slack with it. Think I need to develop some @Kurra persistence and determination with this. I first noticed this pattern back in March but it may have gone on long before that and I hadn't noticed. My MH team thought I'd snap out of it when my weekly phone calls ended about a month ago as I always got worked up with them but that's obviously not it either. I'm pretty sure what has cause my general slide over the last month but I guess need to sort out with my therapist more. I think it has to do with me giving up my stash and feeling like I cant live up to expectations of me. I've only just come to this realisation this week. It's a bit more complicated than that but that's it in a nutshell. Also I think I become extra neurotic everytime I take a step back wards that my therapist will abandon me. Man this is an interesting trigger for me. Logically I get it but my emotions and body win out with this everytime at the moment. Anyway thanks for your ideas. I'm an ideas person too. Love being able to solve something esoecially for someone else, just not that flash at doing it for me. Take care. I hope your day at work has been kind to you.
