Moving forward

Moving forward

As Monday looms I have been trying to work out how to move forward. Today I started collecting things for my coping box (thanks @Crazy_Bug_Lady). I bought some of my fave chocolates to put in and have been gathering bits and pieces. Happy for any other suggestions as to what to put in. I think I may need one for the car too. I'm thinking I may copy some pieces of wisdom from this forum and print them up to add in.

I'm hoping that I get to write more on this thread than the struggle thread as time goes by. Please feel free to add how you are moving forward as well. 💜😊

Re: Moving forward

Thanks. My therapist has gone in to bat for me big time ( I think she must own a HUGE bat) at the end of last week and it looks like they have listened @Faith-and-Hope. She received an apology YAY from the team this afternoon so I am feeling better about that for her. It would be nice if I received one too after my treatment last Wednesday at my assessment but Im not holding my breath. Just taking the win. 💜😊 will catch up hopefully on nightshift soon 😊

Re: Moving forward

So good to hear @Former-Member .....

I hope you can start to enjoy the baby steps moving forward now .... and the "in the moment" part is so important ....

Try to tick a little box of joy somewhere in your day here and there .... like collecting shiny pebbles or pretty shells on a beach ...
it's part of letting the joy back in ....

Vanilla and Chocolate Cannoli ..... 💕
Fur-baby hug ..... 💕
Dragon-baby hug ..... 💗💕

Thanks @Former-Member and @Faith-and-Hope. Feeling back to being ok, many thanks to you guys. You know I'll still have my crazy time but I am now just trying to take it in and feel ok about the positives. Wishing you both a calm and peaceful night 😊💜 or if you cheat in the west 😜 afternoon and night.😊

Re: Moving forward

Hi @Former-Member

That really is something to celebrate - I fancy some of the cake with the whatsits - I like the unexpected in the icing sugar - hey - I like the icing better than the cake!!

There is a lot of cross-pollination here - with our ideas and experiences - I am not alone - none of us are - there is a limit to what can happen -

Moving forward - I have done this often - I re-invent myself every few years - for longer tha the expression has existed - and actually - even if we fall back - we never go back to Go - it's a long way up - but the view

I had better stop raving - it's so good this has worked for you

@Former-Member. Good luck with the Mindfulness classes. They should help enormously.
One day at a time.

Re: Moving forward

Does anyone else struggle to know what to do with their day that helps them feel like they are moving forward. I know I've put pressure on myself now but was just looking for ideas. I went to my mindfulness class which went well but then have been stuck in my car frozen thinking and over thinking 'now what?' I don't want to go home and fall in a hole😁

Re: Moving forward

Go for a walk @Former-Member. Especially after mindfulness or meditation. Helps calm my thinking. Helps slow it down. Maybe next week you can ask if anyone from the group wants to go for a coffee after class.

Re: Moving forward

@Former-Member..do u think mindfulness class made u feel to aware of every minute? I think in past when I've gone to yoga, or got fanatical about a new diet or something, I.e: I've gone vegan 3 times to fail, I notice I get so bloody caught up in it, that really I'm not just being. I sort of feel a bit the same, & know that I have to be kinder on myself. It's small things, if I'm to do that. I just keep it simple as much as I can. I walk if I feel lousy. I might see something on the way & it re-directs my thoughts. Hmm wish I knew a better answer other than I'm hearing you.
