My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Hope your all dry now @Emelia8

@Snowie tomorrow I have a psychiatrist appointment in the morning, wasn't expecting to get an appointment so quick with the PHN. It's a telehealth one unfortunately, not keen, rather anxious, but I'll go... even though Telehealth still have to go somewhere for it too.

Re: My Mosaic

I hope the pdoc appointment helps @Bow . I have been having telehealth appointments with my pdoc as well. No it's not as good as in person but at least it is better then nothing.

Hopefully it goes ok for you hun. Even though you are anxious you are showing so much strength by going hun, you should be super proud of yourself.

Thanks @Snowie yes hopefully helpful and better than the last guy I seen.
do you have a busy week?

Re: My Mosaic

No, not yet @Bow ... still got a wet towell around my head, as I washed my hair too. Nice long shower, and just concentrated and enjoyed the sound, sight and feeling of the water over my head and body. Putting my mindfulness into practice. 😊 Hubby has a few of his drinking buddies out on the back deck, so he wasnt here to rouse on me for taking too long a shower. 💪

I'm glad you got in so quickly for the PHN apt Bow, and I hope it proves to be helpful tomorrow. Telehealth is not as good as face to face, but lets hope you can get something out of it. I am guessing that they will already have your file, and that you wont need to go through everything with this psychiatrist? Try to be positive about it ... you never know, it could prove to be just what you need and something to start to put you on the long and obstacle strewn road to recovery. Its certainly made easier with a decent MH team with you on that journey. I will have my fingers and toes crossed for you that its productive and that you actually get benefits from this apt. 💝

Re: My Mosaic

@Emelia8 a nice long shower sounds nice. Was thinking of going to have a bath 😁

@Bow all you can do is try them sweetheart. Will also cross everything in the hope that it goes well tomorrow.

Got a fairly busy week. Have my pdoc and also ECT this week. I too am hoping my pdoc appointment is in person and not telehealth again. Will just have to wait and see.

Re: My Mosaic

Long showers are so good @Emelia8 I often have them, therapeutic for me.

My new gp took a really thorough history when I started seeing her and I think she sent all of that with this referral, so hopefully he knows most stuff. I'm really anxious about being questioned about the recent assault, I'm not coping and the pdoc is a male.

Re: My Mosaic

thanks for sitting with me today @Snowie @Emelia8 ive had enough of today. not in a good place tonight, not feeling at all positive about tomorrows appointment and anxiety hit me hard a little bit ago when i remembered my last pdoc apppointment and the unsafe place i was in after it. going to take my meds and find what else i can take tonight before i make some unhelpful decisions. thnks again.

Re: My Mosaic

Okay @Bow

I hope you will update us tomorrow as to how your apt goes. Glad your GP has given reasonable background to the pdoc. Hopefully that will make things a bit easier for you. As for your recent assault, and the pdoc being male ... only provide details you are comfortable giving. Im sure he can fill in the details. But at the end of the day, he does not need to know exactly what happened or why. Only how it has affected you and how it has made you feel. So concentrate on that if possible.

Hope you sleep okay. And best of luck tomorrow.

Em 💝

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow ,

Sorry to hear you are having a rough night.

I have sent you an email to check in.

If you could reply to the email so I know you are ok that would be great.

Re: My Mosaic

This morning I drove 45mins to a medical centre in the country to have a Telehealth appointment with a psychiatrist in my own town 🤦🏼‍♀️ Why??? I could of spent the same amount of time in a face to face appointment but the first available for that wasn't until April.
I found it so difficult to convey everything that has been going on for me recently over a video call, I hate talking at a computer screen. Despite having a very thorough history in my referral I still had to go over everything. He barely addressed my eating issues, which other than my chronic sh and si, it is my main issue. He simple told me to make sure I eat 3 meals a day. I've struggled to eat anything. I really struggle when health professionals tell me to just eat, it's not that simple. I get it, I don't look underweight... yet.
He has increased my medication and add a new one, which I have taken before, but my gp is to give me the scripts for them and I will need to wait until she gets the report from them. I will see him again in 4 weeks, if I make it that far.
