My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Today marks 15yrs since I graduated from a rehab program that quite literally saved my life. I walked in through those doors so very broken, clinging to life and when everything inside me was screaming at me to run the other way, I whispered a faint little yes. I spent 8 months and 4 days there. And walked out a transformed young lady. I wish the program still existed in Australia. Perhaps I would have had the opportunity to go back and do it again. Get better. But instead here I lay, in my hospital bed, ashamed at where I am on this day.

Re: My Mosaic

Please don't be ashamed of where you're at @Bow ...You're battling huge things, plus trauma. We can only play the hand we are dealt, which you're doing 💜

So pleased to hear you're able to eat and are enjoying the food in there!

I hope your nightmare meds do have some effect soon...

I agree with @Jynx that writing some suggestions/guidelines for the nurses so they don't trigger your ED sounds good.

Re: My Mosaic

I didn’t get my nightmare meds last night. The nurse went to the effort to speak with my pdoc but for what ever reason they were only written up for that one night. But my pdoc should be in today, so I will ensure that he writes it up as a regular med.

I’ve also briefly spoken with the psychologist that I know from community mh and asked if I could steal 5mins of her time today and she said of course.

Re: My Mosaic

No need to be ashamed @Bow. You show such a great deal of strength and courage in giving yourself the best possible chance for recovery. It sounds like a rough day.

I hope you can get the psychologist to help you navigate the staff with your ED. You have been doing really well. You should be proud for trying to advocate for yourself.

Im proud of you.

@Bow

Hi Bow. There does seem to be some technical issues with Webchat. I have been told that they are trying to remedy the problem, but unfortunately I don't have a time line for you and the community. Apologies for this.

@Bow, Sorry I thought I responded earlier. Ignore any double up posts.
I have been told that there are issues with Webchat, but at this stage I don't have a time line for you and the community as to when it will be back on line.
