My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I am hoping for you that ECT helps @Bow You deserve to feel better.

I know you probably wish you were home, but sometimes we just need to put ourselves first.

Groups can be triggering hon. Do you have to go this afternoon to groups or can you have some 'me' time?

Re: My Mosaic

I feel so bad being in hospital @Snowie away from my daughter and family when they need me. If ECT is helpful, I hope it lasts a long time.

there aren’t any groups after lunch, but there are things like art therapy, gym, sensory group, social activities. None of them are compulsory though. I tend to just paint in my room. I really need to go to the gym. I’ve been doing nothing, and eating way too much.

Re: My Mosaic

I know how hard it is to be away from family and kids @Bow but if this helps then hopefully it is long term. It will be worth it in the long run.

Thats good that you can have some downtime this afternoon. Painting seems like a nice calm activity to do. The hospital I was in never had a gym. Not sure I would have used it anyway. It is hard to get motivated at times.

Hi @Bow , how's your eye now? And how did your ECT go this morning?

Re: My Mosaic

ECT went well this morning @NatureLover @Snowie . I bounced back quickly and was up having breakfast and attending morning groups.

my peer worker came to visit me this afternoon. And then I’ve spent the rest of the afternoon painting. I’m be nearly finished the photo of my daughter and I.

last night I seen my pdoc briefly. He told me that in the private sector they often do up 15 ECT, compared to 12 in the public. He told me to let him know when I’ve had enough!

Re: My Mosaic

Glad you bounced back quickly from ECT @Bow Maybe your body is getting used to it.

Sounds like it has been a productive day for you with groups and painting. I am sure your D will love the painting of you and her.

I guess it is your call when you feel you have had enough ECT sessions. Hopefully they can keep doing 3 per week so you can finish up soon.
