Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I think so @Captain24 ? I went and sat outside the nurses station to have my obs done and get my meds and talk to someone about it but was told to go away as they were still doing handover.

when do you go away for your little reset break @Captain24 ??

Re: My Mosaic

That’s not nice @Bow. Even though it’s handover they could have listened. Hopefully when it’s complete you can get it sorted.

I go on Monday. I really hope it works. I don’t want to have to go to hospital. I’m scared. I don’t want to be in there for my birthday either.

Re: My Mosaic

Yep… had the courage to go sit and be prepared to talk earlier…. Doubt I’ll have it again @Captain24 😩

I really hope it’s the reset that you need @Captain24 i know that you have been struggling for a while now.

Re: My Mosaic

That makes it hard. You’d think they would understand the strength it takes being a specialised hospital @Bow. I really do hope you can find the courage again today. Maybe you’ll have a nice nurse today.

It’s been 5 weeks of being the lowest I’ve ever been. Some days I want to end it but mostly I just can’t be bothered. My psychiatrist was concerned about that. I knew I couldn’t tell her how bad it was so I wrote it down and gave it to her. It was really confronting writing it down but I’m glad I did. Could you maybe do that and hand it to a nurse?

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Sorry you got dismissed by the nurses. I hope you have a nice one on today that you could talk too. I hope you are able to talk to someone about how you are feeling. Do you have groups on the weekend too?

Hi @Captain24 I hope your day goes well. Not long to you holiday. You must be getting excited.

Re: My Mosaic

Writing does make things easier to communicate eh @Captain24 I just had breakfast and been to get my meds and obs done. I asked for some paracetamol… they don’t even ask why. And I didn’t volunteer the information. I’ll be fine. Hopefully the paracetamol helps and I’ll just get on with the day. We still have groups of a Saturday and Sunday. But the afternoons are free. The pdoc said in passing last night that he would see me today, so I plan to ask for some leave. I’ll ask for a couple of hours unsupervised today so that I can walk down to the mall. And then I’m going to ask for the majority of tomorrow too so that I can catch a Uber home and spend the day at home with my D. My meal buddy, she is going on leave for the full day today. 9-7.

Re: My Mosaic

I hope the Paracetamol works for you @Bow.

It would be good if you can get some leave especially tomorrow to spend some time with D. How are you going with the groups? I don’t think I would cope.

I am getting excited @Snowie. It’ll be the first time I’ve been away without

my parents having to come for 3 yrs! But at the same time I’m nervous. I have so much riding on this break that I think I’m putting too much pressure on myself.

How are you today?

Re: My Mosaic

I can understand that pressure @Captain24 It's like everything is riding on this one thing.

Hopefully you can go away and just enjoy yourself. Just take it day by day.

I am tired, last night wasn't great.

Did you manage to get some leave @Bow?

Re: My Mosaic

Painkillers [names of medication edited by moderator] have taken the edge of the soreness @Captain24 i did ask if it was normal to feel this way after ECT when I went and asked for some painkillers, nurse felt a little more inviting. She said it was completely normal and that over time hopefully my body will get use to it. I do wonder if my fibromyalgia will make it worse for me though.

I seen my pdoc this morning, all going ok. He increased one of my night meds but also said it probably won’t help with my sleep….. which is frustrating!

I also got some leave! Couple of hours this afternoon to go down to the shops and 5 hrs tomorrow to head home for a bit. I’m gonna head off shortly to the shops so that I am back in time to watch the king’s coronation.

try not to put so much pressure on yourself @Captain24 relax. Enjoy your time away. Breath.
