My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I am so sorry @Bow. That is so not ok. Especially when you have done it voluntarily. I hope you can get proper care soon. You deserve to be treated better

Re: My Mosaic

And that’s the sad thing @Captain24 im more than likely at the bottom of the list. In this section of the ED there are at least 4 of us mental health patients. There is a girl next to me and there are 2 others around the corner- they have guards on them. When i walked to the cafe earlier this afternoon, I seen others too. I’ve been through here enough to recognise who the guards are… so can tell when they are sitting at the end of a curtain that they are there for a reason. And they are gonna admit mh patients who are sectioned and causing a few dramas before they admit me who is complying and here voluntarily. If only they knew the battle to get myself here….

Re: My Mosaic

That is so sad @Bow. They should recognise the voluntary patients as well. I’m sure it was easy for the person next to you either.

Surrounded by them now and it’s making me feel really anxious

Re: My Mosaic

Here with you @Bow. Could you maybe distract yourself, watch something on your phone for example?

Sitting with you @Bow

How are you feeling now? Do you have a space to yourself that you can take some breaths or have they mentioned how long they will be?

Re: My Mosaic

I am currently laying horizontally in a bed!!! I’m still in the same section of the ED, but they gave me a bed. Beat the girl next to me by 30mins! (I have been here slightly longer than her) 30hrs. They felt bad.

I’ve also had a shower which felt amazing! I enjoyed that hot shower, I know the showers in the mental health wards aren’t very hot for safety reason.

I also had a phone call with my mum and daughter. It was nice to talk to them.

@Jynx can’t really watch anything. The phone reception and free wifi is terrible. I’ve been trying all day to watch the survivor finale and home and away, but it just doesn’t load.

A shower always make a difference @Bow. I am soo glad you finally have a bed. I get it’s still in ED but at least it’s a bed!!

Hopefully the transfer is next.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow oh I'm so glad to hear you're in a bed and have had a shower and a chat with the fam, that is wonderful. Rough about the patchy internet though. Any books you could read? Or maybe if your fam can come visit they could bring you some. And some colouring in! Just a thought anyway haha 😉

30 hours is a horrendously long time, I hope you are able to get some solid rest tonight. You've earned it 💜

Re: My Mosaic

The internet reception must be slightly better on this side cause I just managed to watched the survivor finale.
I’ve had my meds, except my new sleeper, they don’t stick it apparently. But hopefully cause I’m so tired j will be able to get some sleep.

@Jynx unfortunately I won’t be able to see my family while in here. My mum doesn’t drive and she is stuck at home caring for my step dad. So no visits. My closest friend who I’ve told that I’m in here is also away this week. Don’t tend to tell many that I am in hospital.

I bought a book, some colouring in and a paint by number in with me. But haven’t really felt up to doing much. Maybe tomorrow.

@Captain24 oh a shower felt so amazing.
