My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme My daughter is at her fathers tomorrow, so have my usual routine plus I’ll try and get the front lawns done. Some painting.
Sunday my daughter and I are doing a market for my mum. So gotta somehow put my big girl pants on and do that. Sigh.

Re: My Mosaic

That sounds lovely! The weather in Melb is good tomorrow.

What will you be doing at the market for your mum? @Bow

Re: My Mosaic

My mum has a small business @tyme makes baby and children’s clothes, bibs and other goodies. This is a baby market, new and preloved stuff. So we’ll sell mums handmade stuff, plus the handmade clothes that I made for my daughter that she has outgrown.

Re: My Mosaic

It sounds like a good mother and daughter bonding session? @Bow . Does your mum go too?

Re: My Mosaic

My mum usually goes @tyme, I usually go set her up and then leave and then go back and pack her up when it’s finished. But my mum can’t go at the moment cause she needs to stay home with my step dad. So it will just be me and my daughter on Sunday.

Makes sense @Bow .

See it as a great bonding time for you and your daughter. It must be so much fun for her.

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme She kinda likes it. Gets bored easy. It’s 5hrs. I take lotsa snacks and the iPad. She might find some goodies at this one though. But she is excited to be my lil helper for the day.

Re: My Mosaic

At least your daughter gets to have fun at a 'real' shop. I was only telling others that I am making a 'shop' for my nieces and nephews. It is open once a week and they can spend their money from doing chores. @Bow

Re: My Mosaic

What kind of things do you have in your shop @tyme ?

Re: My Mosaic

LOL @Bow I'll be buying mini squishmallows. I have some toys, games, treats in my shop.

To be honest, I came up with the idea because I saw the mini squishmallows at the shop and really wanted them, but I've got no use for them. And I don't want to just give my niece things for the sake of it. I want her to learn the value of money.
