Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

No @Bow its totally ok. It’s what’s happening in your life and it’s your thread.

If I wasn’t ok I wouldn’t have responded. You have been a huge support to me over the last week and I thank you a lot.

For me it is still really raw but at the same time the suffering is over.

Awwww @Bow ,

I'm so sorry to hear this. It must be so hard right now.

I'm here for you my dear.

So it sounds like he has always been unwell?

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Captain24

just thinking how much mum is going to need me. This is the second husband that she has nursed like this. my first step dad, the one that abused me, he died of cancer. Now this one… I don’t even know if they have discussed what he wants, I hope they have. I know that the rest of his family have no idea he is so sick. His daughter who he has had nothing to do with for years… his granddaughters, his brothers and sisters. None of them know. That’s his wishes though.

Re: My Mosaic

I had to stay strong for mum @Bow and it was hard. But that is where I lent on you all on here. We are here to support you while you are supporting your mum.

Im not sure if this is ok but, it will make it easier for when the time comes if he has planned for what he wants.

As for his family we were in a similar situation. You have to do what feels right for your step dad.

Re: My Mosaic

I’m hoping that that’s a conversation that him and mum have had. I know they sorted their wills out. It’s sad… he doesn’t have any friends. I don’t even know who would attend his funeral. :((

sigh

sorry

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow ,

No need to be sorry. These are very valid questions that are going through your mind. You have some a big heart that these things matter to you.

Whoever does or doesn't attend the funeral will not take away your memories of him.
