My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I just crawled into bed @Captain24 my body is so tired. But not ready to sleep yet. Left mum to put daughter to bed, I can’t deal with anymore noise. Need quiet.

how are you travelling tonight? I think I read you went to your work Christmas party?

@Jynx im travelling okish. Lots been happening. Mum had a heart attack last week. She’s ok. But lotsa added pressure.
what have you been doing with yourself?

Re: My Mosaic

So glad you are comfy in bed @Bow. You need to remember to take care of yourself. The party was good but I needed to go home as it was way to social.

Re: My Mosaic

Sometimes it’s really hard to do that… take care of myself… @Captain24 I feel the pressure from everyone else to be everything for everyone. I really don’t wanna get up in the morning and go set up this market. I didn’t wanna go this morning either. I’m so tired. But at least tomorrow I can set mum up and then come home. But I’ll have my daughter to keep an eye on.
think I under estimated how much today would take out of me. It was constantly go go go.

Re: My Mosaic

I know that you have a lot going on @Bow. Is there anyway of having a day weekly when your d is at school that no apps can be booked for anyone? Just to maybe have one day to yourself?

Re: My Mosaic

Sounds so hard for the family, but glad your mum seems okay enough to have a market stall @Bow ? I hope you haven't had too much extra stuff on your plate hey.

I've been up in NSW visiting my family, which has been super lovely. Starting the long drive back to Melbourne tomorrow 😶

I did get to go to my nephew's 6th birthday party last weekend though, that was pretty special. Pinatas, pass the parcel, and cake too!

I thought you were all finished up for the year, @Eve7 , but maybe it was the last assignment you had finished. How long is your course?

And yes, it is quite possible that the trauma is the root of the ED… or part of it. Who knows really. I feel so confused. I’d like someone to write it all down for me, with arrows and boxes so that it all makes sense….. you think that would be possible?!?

Can you ask your pdoc if she thinks trauma is at the root of your ED? And whether that's why she started unpacking it?

At least then you would feel that there is some aim or goal to unpacking it maybe.

Hoping today goes well and you can rest between taking your mum to the market and picking her up @Bow

Re: My Mosaic

@Captain24 I can try and do that, some weeks it will work, other weeks it’s inevitable that something will come up or I will have to do something for the folks. Even getting up and doing the school routine is hard sometimes at the moments.

this week I have stuff on every day, including a meeting with my boss/pastors that I am really not looking forward to. Dreading it.

when do you go back to work?

Re: My Mosaic

That does sound nice @Jynx , spending time with your family…. And getting to be at your nephew’s birthday!

That is a long drive! I’ve done it a couple times and it’s super boring!!

Re: My Mosaic

I guess I could have that conversation with my pdoc @NatureLover although I think there was a reason why she bought it up the other day I just can’t remember it. She was talking about the protector… this part of me that comes out to protect me from something. This is why I need things written down so that I can remember them and understand.
