My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Yes I love a good nap…. I’ve had one most days this week since I’ve come home from hospital…. Which I didn’t usually do. Oh well.

I have a split system in my room, but only ever use it on those really hot days. Just use a fan otherwise- which I used today while napping. Pulled the summer pjs out the other night too. Was like I went to hospital in winter and came out in summer!

I’ve actually struggled visiting mum in hospital. Have just spent way too much time in there.

how many more days do you have until you get a break @Captain24 ?

Re: My Mosaic

If a nap is what you need than so be it and enjoy it @Bow.

Its still pretty cool here of a night. When I got up this morning it was 6 degrees. But it got up to 24. I use my aircon for day sleeps and then when it warms up of a night. I have solar panels so it doesn’t cost much to run during the day.

I was wondering how you were going with the hospital visits.

I have a day shift tomorrow and then 2 night shifts Monday Tuesday. I work 62.5hrs in 5 days.

Do you let your daughter sleep with you often?

Re: My Mosaic

That’s a lot of hours in just 5 days @Captain24 !

just of a weekend I sometimes let her bunk in with me. She didn’t end up here tonight. She’s in her own bed and fast asleep. I sat on the couch for about an hour scrolling Facebook and Instagram. Just crawled into bed now.

hope your shift tomorrow is alright

Re: My Mosaic

Is it possible to feel so very broken, yet completely numb at the same time???

im struggling to find the words today but I feel so lost. I went to church today. At the end I had a lady come over to me and she wanted to pray and then 2 others joined her. It was lovely. And so much of what they said was spot on for where I’m at. But I felt… or feel nothing. No emotions.

im really anxious about my appointment with my psychologist tomorrow morning. I haven’t seen her in 2 months. Haven’t seen her since my last attempt. Or my most recent admission for my ED.

i feel so disconnected from everything around me. I’m obviously worried about my mum, but have had no emotions.

it’s frustrating.

Re: My Mosaic

It sounds like things are really tough @Bow 💛

It is definitely possible to feel both broken and numb at the same time. I have been there myself and the numbness is awful. It can feel overwhelming to have others showing concern and care of us and still feeling... nothing!

You are going through a lot and these feelings are completely valid.

I hope that it all goes well seeing your psych again, it can feel pretty daunting. We are here to support and sit with you 💛

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow.

I understand that feeling of nothingness. It’s a really horrible place to sit and it’s hard and to be worried about your mum too.

I get you feeling anxious about tomorrow. Hopefully your psych will be understanding. All you can do is try to be open and honest

Hows mum?
