Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

So sorry to read your mum had a heart attack, @Bow ! 😮 😞

What is the treatment? Will she have to have a pacemaker?

I hope you are coping...and that you can keep well 💜

Sending wishes and hugs...

Thank you @Snowie @NatureLover @Captain24 @Eve7 @Former-Member

My mum had an angiogram this morning and they found a small blockage in a small artery. They can’t fix it as it may do more damage cause it’s so small. She will go on medication instead, which will hopefully dissolve it.
She will hopefully be home tomorrow.

I seen my dietician this morning. Was nice to see someone on my support team finally after being in hospital and not seeing anyone. I talked about my struggle at dinner time and not being hungry and not being able to eat all my dinner, and we worked out some strategies to make it a bit easier.
I also talked about my struggle around the 3 meals and 3 snacks and how it makes me feel like all I do all day is eat and whether its something that needs to happen. My dietitian explained that in recovery 6 eating opportunities are important cause if I miss one, then there is another soon after and consistency is really important. She said it won’t always have to be this way, but at the moment my body needs it.

Im waiting for school pick up time and then my daughter and I will go down and see my mum.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks for the update @Bow. I hope your Mum starts to feel a bit better soon and you can have her back home with you all.

I don't know much about dietetics but that makes sense about the 6 meals. Hopefully the changes she has given you will help with the evening meal. What is on the menu tonight? We are following you Mexican night last night and having tacos!! With spice of course. I didn't get to Aldi today.

Re: My Mosaic

We actually had McDonald’s tonight @Former-Member and I fully regret it. I just had a burger, daughter had a happy meal. Something quick on the way home tonight as we spent some time visiting my mum at the hospital. i haven’t had McDs in such a very long time.
We didn’t end up staying very long as she had a migraine, so we left her to sleep. Hopefully I can pick her up tomorrow and bring her home.

my pharmacy called this afternoon to confirm the changes in my meds. She then wanted to chat with my mum- cause my mum manages my meds. I told the pharmacy lady that she was in hospital and explained what had happened (the pharmacy knows the whole family, so were sorry to hear about mum). Next community mh called me as the pharmacy had called them concerned about who was going to do my meds while mum is in hospital. They wanted me to go in daily to pick up my meds, I explained that my step dad was capable of doing my meds… which everyone agreed to thankfully!
