My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Thanks @NatureLover @Snowie im doing a bit better today. Have managed some food and fluids and that’s made a difference. My bloods still aren’t great and I have an infection of some kind, still in the short stay psych unit, nearly got moved last night to a medical ward though when I took a turn for the worse with my blood pressure.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi friends, I’m still in the shorts stay psych unit. Doing better physically and mentally. I think it has helped to be in a safe environment and having the time to have some proper deep rest. I’m going to ask to go home today. I came in voluntarily and as far as I know that hasn’t changed, so I should be able to go home right? Then I just have the weekend to get through, my trauma anniversary. I really don’t want to be in here for that, I know it will be a safe place, but I just can’t face it in here around strangers. I’ll have things to do to keep my busy on Saturday and I will make sure that the comm mh team come and visit on Sunday.
There is so much time to sit and think in here. It actually makes me sleepy! I slept so much better last night. I’ve been up and had a shower already today and feeling awake and ok. I’m on antibiotics for whatever infection I have and the regular Paracetamol is helping with my body aches and pains that I have constantly been having since being in here…. I think it has something to do with my fibromyalgia, just not us to not bring so active and just laying around all day. I need to be moving my body.
any how, hope everyone is doing ok.

Re: My Mosaic

I came home around lunch time today. They wanted me in until Monday. My case manager came to visit and I’m pretty sure she had words with the dr there. But cause I came in voluntarily they let me go.
i felt safe and calm in hospital. It’s surprising how much… and how quickly things change once I get home.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Snowie was so good to crawl into bed last night and have a good nights sleep in my own bed! Ready now to face another day.

Im seeing my case manager today, need a plan to get through the next couple of days… pretty sure the the distraction that was planned for tomorrow and one of the reasons that I came home from hospital earlier than the Drs would of liked is being cancelled 😞 if only it had been canceled earlier I would of stayed. Oh well. It’s now up to me to keep myself distracted and safe. I’m really not looking forward to the weekend, Sunday is my trauma anniversary, the start of some significant trauma…. I don’t even remember how long it went on for, I blocked it out.

Anyways, up and at’em. Need to make good choices around food and fluid intakes today.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow , I want to thank you for choosing such a distinctive name for your thread...I just type "mosaic' into the Seach bar and it pops up 🙂

I'm sorry your distraction event tomorrow has been cancelled, that's a bugger 😞

In your last 3 posts you sound so much stronger! The stay in hospital, the care and the rest must have done you lots of good.

We are here for you on this very tough next 3 days... 💜

Hopefully the time in hospital is enough to get me through the weekend I’m really not looking forward to it 😩

Re: My Mosaic

I went and seen my case manager this afternoon. Was really hesitant in going in, the last time I went there I caused a bit of drama.

My case manager printed out a copy of my discharge summary, thankfully she did cause I was discharged on a heap of meds that I didn’t even know about. Heaps of vitamins and things like that, meds that I need a script for. I had bloods done this morning and I have an appointment with my gp on Monday, so will see where things are at and what I actually need. It’s scary how bad my bloods were and how quickly they got so bad. How unwell I was. I still don’t feel 100% and need to remind myself constantly that I need to be eating and drinking, but it makes me feel sick.

i hate reading all the diagnosis and labels throughout the summary. I don’t like them. I wish they were not there.
