My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I can imagine that would be nerve-wracking @Bow ! I think it's so special that you've taken this opportunity to improve how people with EDs are supported in your area. Your experiences will help improve what's going on so much 🦋 What can you do to help reduce the anxiety?

I hope you feel proud of helping to change how supports work in your area ❤️

And I'm sorry about feeling like a taxi. That must be so frustrating. Sounds like you're a real support for your family though ❤️

Re: My Mosaic

Well I failed at the ED focus group. My anxiety got the better of me and I’m so disappointed and angry with myself.
i connected to the zoom call, there were so many other people there, 30+ health professionals and I didn’t know how many or if there were any other people who were just there with a lived experience . Anyways, I sat there and listened and then they said that everyone was going to break off into breakout groups to discuss a number of questions. I freaked out and left. It was easier to just amongst everyone else but felt harder in a smaller group. I don’t even know what I was expecting.
But I did email the facilitator afterwards and apologised for leaving and said that if there was any other way for me to share my experience and have an input then I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to share. She emailed back and said that it was completely fine and that she understood. She has emailed the questions to me and said that she would even jump on a call with me.
feel a little better but still disappointed in myself.

@Bow ,

Well done for even jumping on! I think you ought to be congratulated on that. I would find it daunting too!

I remember I was in a similar situation once, and I told them that I prefer to type my answers in the chat. Do you think that would help?

Once again, well done on making this HUGE step!

I'm so proud of you,

tyme

Re: My Mosaic

Well done for attempting the Zoom meeting @Bow ...can you look at it as a learning experience? I'm glad you can still submit your answers, in a less terrifying format.

Please don't beat yourself up 💜

Does anyone have really strong SI and want to just get it over with… like the desire is really strong. But just can’t be bothered doing it. It’s like mehhh just want to collapse in bed. So you have to just put up with the bloody horrible thoughts and overwhelming feelings cause they won’t go away.

Get out

go away

i do not wish for you to stay

inside…

invading…

Persuading…

I have felt souls lifted

stolen…

i haven’t known any worse pain

again and again…

but you!

i don’t know what or who you are

except pain

why must you stay?

get out

go away

i do not wish for you to stay

and yet painfully

i know you will.
