My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I am glad you are honest with you psych @Bow I don't think she would have wanted to get rid of you hon. Perhaps she felt that you had had enough for the session. I know with my psych that my sessions can be very exhausting, especially if it was a two hour session.

Please be gentle with yourself hon, you are doing the very best you can and that is all you can do.

Gentle steps ahead.

Re: My Mosaic

I hear that @Bow about the fine line. It kind of reminds me of a tightrope, which can be tricky to navigate. I know for me, when I'm deep in struggle, reminding myself of good things or things I still want to do can be really helpful. Those things you've mentioned- time with your daughter and a holiday in August, sound like such wonderful things.

Re: My Mosaic

I just booked flights to the UK. Then to Los Angeles for Disneyland. I also booked train tickets from Heathrow airport into London and return.

Something to look forward to.

Re: My Mosaic

I haven’t told her about Disneyland @Paperdaisy She knows we are going on a big holiday. That we are going to London and Paris and that we have a wedding to go to over there. But Disneyland I’m trying to keep a surprise.

Re: My Mosaic

That is so exciting @Bow , not just for your daughter but for you also. Definitely something to look forward to for both of you. Very much a mother and daughter adventure, and one which will have fantastic memories which will last a lifetime for the two of you. I have been to Disneyland as an adult ... gee that was in about 1999 or 2000 I think, so I would have been 40 ... and I really loved it. Cant wait to hear about your fantastic adventure. August will come around very quickly. And of course you have a wedding to look forward to as well. Lovely. 👰✈🚂

Re: My Mosaic

Thank you @Emelia8 yes it will be the adventure for sure! I’m excited. I have a book that I am making notes in. Places that I want to visit in London. Tips and tricks for Disneyland. We will do a day trip on the train to Paris….. going all that way might as well! (We have a cute little French cafe here with the Eiffel Tower plastered on the walls. My D now recognises it and knows that we will go there).
And then Disneyland…. Any little girls dream… and adults- for me anyways! I hope that covid restrictions continue to relax between now and then and all the things that use to be Disney will be back. I’d love to treat her to the whole bippity boppity boutique experience. She would love it! But at the moment I don’t think it’s running.

Re: My Mosaic

How exciting @Bow

Did you consider going to Euro Disney in Paris?

You’ll have a wonderful time. I love Disneyland, the happiest place on earth! It’s amazing and there are never enough superlatives to describe it.

London and Paris are great too. I’m glad you have something to look forward to. How long will you be away?

💙💙💙

Re: My Mosaic

I did think about euro Disney @Eve7 , but the language barrier and safety put me off. I’d prefer to be in a country that speaks English for the amount of time we will be there. A brief day trip to see the main sights will be enough French for me!
We will be away for nearly 4 weeks. Just under 2 weeks in each place… London and Disney.
Our friend is in London, who’s wedding we are going to. So we will spend time with her also.
In Disney, we will have rest days to lounge by the pool for a bit. Need to remember that I will have a 6yr old in toe and can’t be constantly on the go!
