It makes sense that it will be hard tomorrow, saying goodbye to your brother not knowing if it will be the last time. I can also hear how hard it is not knowing how much he understands and with him not able to communicate well. I hope dinner tonight is nice and that you’re able to be kind to yourself with all that you’re processing.

Please also let us know how you go being back at home with your mum still away. We’re here to listen if you find it helpful to have somewhere to express how you’re feeling. If it feels very overwhelming when you’re back, would you be able to call into Safe Haven to get their support in thinking through what other support you might need? I know having someone there in person to hear how we’re feeling can be what we need sometimes. 💛

It must be really difficult knowing that this might be the last time you see your brother. The not knowing can be so upsetting.

we have made ourselves comfy at the airport by the windows to watch the planes come and go. Couple of hours until we board which is fine cause the morning has been busy.

hard saying goodbye to everyone. Even my dad. I want a relationship with him but it’s so hard. Guess by staying at his house the last while I’ve seen what that could look like. Super hard saying bye to my brother and mum. Things aren’t going to get easier.

got to the car hire place and it was no issues extending it for a few hours. So we heading back into town to an op shop, then we stopped by at a friends place. Good friend, she was my maid of honor. Surprise visit. Found her house, sent her a text asking if she was home and when she replied yes we ran and knocked on their door. Sat in the sun for a bit and chatted, D played with their many animals. Found subway for lunch and then headed back to the airport.

Glad you made it to the airport safely without any issues. Hopefully the planes amuse D for long enough and that your plane is on time!

It would have been nice catching up with your friend. Nice that you stay in contact.

I get what it's like saying goodbye. For me with my Dad it was the not knowing that hurt the most.

I am so sorry to hear that your CM wasn't supportive and that you don't have a current support worker, that must have felt really overwhelming to experience. Do you have any updates around the progression of this?

I am going through more recent updates soon - what happened with your brother sounds very destabilising and scary for you all. Have you and your family been able to support one another over the past couple of weeks?

Hey @Snowie I went to come on here last night to let y’all know we got home ok but the forums crashed and wouldn’t work.

we didn’t get home until about 7:30 so it was a very long day. Dog was very excited to see us. I ordered some pizza and that didn’t get delivered until nearly 9pm. Their system crashed too so was really delayed! I was nearly gonna call up and cancel cause it was getting so late. Was super nice being in my own bed. But I woke up this morning with a bit of heartburn which has got worse through out the day and really not feeling the best now.

my brother has an appointment with his oncologist on Thursday and depending on the outcome of that appointment my mum and brother are probably going to go on the new spirit… his been hanging out for it to come into service so he can go on it. And then they will probably come up here for a little while…. Which should be interesting.

Not good to hear you haven't been feeling well. Hopefully you wake a bit better tomorrow.

That would be good if your brother can go on the Spirit and come visit you. I guess it's just a day by day thing and depends on his health.

I'm ok. Sleep still being annoying. Been a quiet day here with 4 seasons in one. We've gone from nice and sunny and warm to big thunderstorms and lots of rain. Overcast and muggy outside now. It can't make up its mind!!
