My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Oh that’s no good about the doggo @Snowie

sometimes they just spew for no real reason. Does she eat grass when she’s not well?

survived the visit with dad. 1.5hrs. Mostly talked about them.. and my brother oh and their dog. D had a time playing tug o war with the dog.

we met mum at the shops and had some lunch and then dropped my brother off for a hair cut and then we went and looked at this amazing antique shop. Oh my gosh Snowie, we ended up leaving cause D was sitting in the car. Will go back next week and leave D home with my brother.

my brother is going out with his support worker later this afternoon. Not sure what we will do.

is it good drying weather for you?

Re: My Mosaic

She's on meds atm @Bow I took her to the vet the other day as she was limping. Done something to her back leg. One of the side effects is vomiting. Instead of doing it on the floorboards the bed was a much better place to do it 🤦‍♀️

Glad you got through with your Dad. Whilst it might not be the highlight of your trip, you did the right thing in visiting him. Proud of you hon.

Maybe just a quiet afternoon. At the moment I'm on the couch with my oodie and blanket. Cold here today. Must be colder there.

Luckily I have a dryer, just putting everything in there.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh they never do vomit in a place that is easier to clean up do they @Snowie

i did some washing this morning and have everything hung on the clothes horse in front of the heater.

we have not long got back from the beach. Another bag of rocks! I also spoke with my old SW this afternoon. She called earlier today while we were out. And she said she would speak to me again on Monday? Either my SW has an rdo? Or something else?

gotta back an overnight bag for tomorrow and just having some small for dinner.

got weekend plans?

Re: My Mosaic

Haha @Bow they do like to pick great spots to vomit!!

Oh dear, another bags of rocks! You will have plenty of them to make some art work when you get home.

Thats good that your SW called. Hopefully she calls on Monday too.

Having a Thai chicken rice bowl for tea. It's one of those kits from Aldi. Hadn't seen it before. Is yummy.

No real weekend plans. Will have to visit mum at some stage.

I hope your night away goes good.

Re: My Mosaic

Your dinner sounds nice @Snowie

i had toast. D had soup and is now sitting with a big bowl of cheese and crackers!

currently have the clothes horse up on the kitchen table cause the air con unit blows right there. I thought I’d need to no use the laundromat or take my wet washing to my brothers house to use his dryer, but overnight in front of the heater and it’s almost dry.

Re: My Mosaic

It was yummy @Bow and only took about 15mins to cook. Would buy again.

Sometimes an easy dinner is the best.

Good about your clothes. It's hard to dry everything in winter. Prob harder in Tas!

Hi @Bow

I'm sorry I only just saw your reply

I love the idea of the little ducks! It sounds like such a fun and meaningful way to make memories together 😊

I hope those moments of laughter and connection with your brother continue to bring you some comfort

How are you going today, any weekend plans?

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Nala2022 @Snowie

we were all up early this morning and drove from one end of tassie to the other! Just over 3hrs.

We went straight to Salamanca market and wandered around, it’s such a nice market, lots of people. Didn’t really buy anything. Had half a chip on a stick for lunch. We then met up with my mums childhood best friend and my god mother, her daughter and grandson. Mum stayed with them for a couple of hours to catch up and I needed to move the car so went and found a bookshop that I wanted to go look at. @Snowie I bought a bag full for of books! 😳😂 then went back to the market to find mum and have not long checked into our hotel. I’m a bit tired.

oh at the book shop, when I took my pile of books to pay, the guy was like…. Oh…. Your one of them Alice fanatic.

@Nala2022 ive had a rough few days. ED voice has been very loud, very mean and very constant. Been feeling very distracted by it. I ended up reaching out to the butterfly foundation yesterday as I was feeling rather distressed by it all. It helped a little to talk to someone who got it.

how are you both? How’s your day been?
