My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Afternoon @Snowie

really struggled to get out of bed this morning. Not having an ok day. Head is a mess. Got up and had some juice and my meds and went back to bed. Didn’t get up again until 10am when my brother called. No chemo today, bloods weren’t ok.

I’d like to just stay in bed and hide all day. But am around at my brothers.

good on you for getting out early and getting stuff done.

sorry not much to give today. So flat

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow, I just wanted to check-in. How are you holding up?

I hope spending time at the beach helped, even if just a little 💛

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Nala2022 alot of things are really hard at the moment and I’m struggling.

the beach was nice. I always find it a peaceful place to be… but it’s cold in tassie and we needed to head back.

Re: My Mosaic

I'm sorry to hear things have been hard for you lately @Bow. Do you have supports around you or anyone you can reach out to?

I'm glad that's a place you can go to when you need. I've only ever been to Tassie once; I loved it but would imagine it gets freezing during the winter time

Re: My Mosaic

@Nala2022 unfortunately I don’t really have my supports around me at the moment. I’m in tassie visiting my brother, I have my SW via phone/text and she tries, but really doesn’t get it. Don’t really have anyone that understands or gets my struggles with my body. All I can really do is plan in my head what I can do once I get home.

I was born in tassie, spent half my life here. If things were different I’d love to move back here, but alas I’m stuck in Sydney.

Re: My Mosaic

That sounds really hard, especially being away from your usual supports and feeling like the people around you don’t quite understand what you’re going through @Bow

It makes sense that you’re already thinking about the things you can put in place once you get home. For now, I hope being with your brother in a place that holds some good memories can offer a little comfort while you’re there 💛

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Nala2022

im trying really hard to be present and make some memories with my brother before it’s too late.

we have been hiding tiny little ducks around his apartment. We’re all loving it. Everyone denying its them doing it. His swearing and cursing when he finds a new one. I numbered them all, 100 in total but I skipped a few numbers so he will be trying to find some forever.
