My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @AuntGlow

yeah things are still very much all up in the air and unpredictable. I’m not sure when I last updated you but my interim case manager is now about to go on 2 weeks leave! I haven’t even had an appointment with her yet 😩 I am very anxious…. Apprehensive about who is going to be my interim interim contact. I did see today though my old SW, first time I’ve seen her in a few weeks.
i unfortunately haven’t seen my psychologist the last 2 weeks cause I’ve been rather sick with an upper and lower respiratory infection. I’ve felt very frustrated missing those appointments cause I really need them. Hoping to be back this week but when I spoke to my interim CM on Friday she mentioned the 18th? which means not this week? I will need to wait until Wednesday to call my psychologist and see when I can see him next. It’s hard to keep momentum when I’ve had those gaps.

my brother. He has a number of disabilities on top of his cancer and is hard work to be around for any lengthy time, which is hard. My D and I will be stay in an airb&b so we will have our own space. But I do really want to spend some quality time with him. Just need to be mindful of my own capacity and mh. But overall I am looking forward to the time away. I need a break. I know my mh issues will pack their own little bag and come too, but maybe the change of scenery will be good. Daily beach walks.

how are you? Are you keeping warm?

Re: My Mosaic

Today has been a really hard day. Just had a big cry curled up in bed.

I’m safe and don’t need anything in particular, but if anyone is around that would be nice otherwise just taking some time out for myself

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow ,

I'm sorry to hear today has been such a hard one.

Sometimes a big cry is exactly what we need, even though it can leave us feeling pretty drained afterwards. It sounds like you're being kind to yourself by taking some time out and listening to what you need right now.

I'm glad you've let us know you're safe. I hope you're able to be gentle with yourself for the rest of the evening

Is there anything that's helped bring you a little comfort today, even if only for a few minutes?

Hey @Bow

Day ok but not me

I've got dog staring at me wanting dinner! Somehow they know exactly when they should be fed.

Have you done much today?

Re: My Mosaic

Aw I'm glad you've got some company @Bow 😊 cats purrs are the best and so comforting, mines doing the same right now.

I hope you feel a bit more at ease? Any plans for tomorrow?

Re: My Mosaic

Oh yes they sure know @Snowie does Izzy know words? Lulu knows food.. dinner.. ice cream.

we had my nieces birthday. Never have I felt so unwelcome and unwanted amongst family. SIL didn’t say a word to either mum and I. Bro was mostly inside cooking food. Mum, D and I sat at the end of the table and everyone else…. And I mean everyone else sat at the other end. My 8mth old nephew was passed around all her family and friends. But not us. It was very unpleasant. I really wanted to leave. Didn’t want to be there. And what made it feel worse is that ALL her family and friends would know about the tension because she will 100% of told them cause that’s who she is.
did the groceries afterwards. D complained the whole time. Forgot to pick up my meds but thankfully I have a couple of extra days still.

Then D had this massive meltdown over a bug on the stairs. Refused to take the vacuum to suck it up. Mum told me I need to take her somewhere to get help= bad mum.
