@Bow 'if it matters to you, it matters' - we care hun.
Anger is rough, and usually tells us that our fight response is kicking up in response to fear or hurt. Sometimes in order to release the anger, it helps to acknowledge the underlying feelings and give space to them as well. Journalling can really help here.
Venting is a tricky one at times, because it's so easy for venting to become rumination. Venting is something that helps us clear our heads, process things, and we usually feel better afterwards. Ruminating is when we're dwelling on something, repeating it or getting stuck in it, and we usually feel worse or still stuck even after talking about it.
Often when members are venting, it'll be the case that they'll be seeking insights, or they'll talk about how they're feeling better afterwards and/or how they're also supporting themselves in their situation.
So, if you need to vent, maybe try journalling first to see if you feel lighter. If you wish to share any updates with the community, include the ways you're supporting yourself or what you are looking for in response, i.e. the Guidelines: "When posting about the tough days, tell the community what support you need. Let the community know what has worked for you in the past."
Perhaps only choose to share if you are looking for insights from the community, or if you know that you will feel better afterwards and be able to then re-engage with lighter chats, rather than talking about it then leading down a spiral.
