My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Urgh, hate words like that @Bow Learn to adapt, you've been through it before you can do it again, use your tools. If only it was that easy.

Regardless of what they think, they need to put that aside and treat you like a person. Give you the support that you deserve.

However I am not saying at all that you are any of those things. You might have some challenges, we all do, but that doesn't mean we don't deserve the best level of care.

Hope it’s ok to tag you @Jynx totally ok if you’re too busy but thought I’d update you on chapter 100 of bows support saga. I’m now also getting a new case manager. At the same time as a new support worker and the cherry on top the SW team leader, she interviewed my CM for the secondment position so knew my CM was moving on and still changed my SW. So ALL my mental health supports have been pulled from under me and I have to start from scratch everywhere. It’s a £^€¥!€* joke, a £^€¥!<# game for them all I’m not ok really not

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow oh hun that is SO rough! That's a lot of change to be going through all at once. I can understand your frustration and the feeling like there's some ulterior motive or something. Would be very disconcerting to feel so destabilised hun, I guess we can only hope that they're capable of being supportive and understanding of how this has left you feeling.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie

hope hubbys operation went well today and all that that entails is ok. And you?

feel like I need to tip toe around. Very hesitant.

hasnt been the greatest of days. Woke up at 4am in huge pain… hip down to my knee. Couldn’t get comfortable. Took some painkillers, gave it time and still no relief. Heated up A heat pack and managed to doze until 7:30. Still really sore.

SW messed me around a bit this morning. Was arranged to met her after my psych appointment, but she messaged and said she couldn’t but the new one could. Then said she could. I let her know that I wasn’t seeing my psych, so we still met for a cuppa. She was so disappointed that I still hadn’t had a shower. Or called to see my gp. She talked along time about how her kids all have shower routines and that she would know if they hadn’t had a shower in a while- she didn’t know I had an en-suite so mum wouldn’t really know. But she went on and on about it. I can put a routine in place, like logically, I could even write it down. But that ain’t gonna get me in the shower.

I was honestly glad to get out of that cafe in the end.

I spent the afternoon downstairs painting and started on a Mother’s Day gift…. A tea box.

you’ll be proud… I did call and make an appointment with my gp. And I had to actually call and talk to someone cause there wasn’t anything available on the app for a week- and my SW wants to come with me and support me at my gp. Mainly going to talk about my meds… the stimulant that the pdoc took me off yesterday basically cold turkey. He said it was fine to do that, but I researched, as did my SW and then I asked the pharmacist who does my meds and she said it’s not ideal. Sigh. My gp can’t really do anything, but she can help me work out how to tapper off them and monitor any withdrawals.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

About the first time I've managed to sit down.

H's op went ok. Have appt. with surgeon in a few weeks to find out what they did. Hoping it helps even a little and puts of the major surgery for a few more years.

Got him home, settled, fed!!

Had to take mum to dentist today, big w and supermarket. Got her all done and finally home now. Got washing on, H in bed and finally a break.

I'm sorry yesterday was a hard day hon.

I agree, we can talk about routines, write them down, do a tick list, but it still takes a lot of effort to see it through. If onl it was that easy hey.

I am proud of you for making an appt. with the gp. Hoping that she can at least give you some guidance or even what to expect.

I hope today is going a little better.

Hey @Snowie

@glad your finally getting a rest. Hope it’s been a decent one. What’s hubbys recovery going to be like? Do you have some days at home coming up so you can recover a bit too?

my SW is off today, new one messaged me and wanted to come do a home visit, I didn’t want one, but she insisted. She had another support and would give me a call after that. Urgh. About 4 hrs later a casual calls and messages me wanting to do a well being check and asked if I wanted a home visit. Confused… annoyed, I just ignored it. 1/2hr later she is on my door step! I didn’t let her in, I answered her questions, told me to msg her when I eat something, go to hospital if needed and ‘hoped that I get better’.

gp clinic called too…. Wanting to know if I wanted to come in tomorrow morning instead. Told them I preferred Monday… cause my SW will come.

I spent most of the day crafting.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow

Recovery shouldn't be too long. Should be able to go back to light duties in about a week. He needs a total knee replacement. Has for awhile. Hoping this op just cleans it up a bit so we can put it off for another year or so. He will have to take about 3 months of work when he gets a replacement.

Tomorrow can just be a day at home but Sunday taking mum and MIL out to lunch.

Do you do anything for mothers day?

I guess the SW just showing up shows that she cares hon. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come.

Hoping the crafting helped a little.

Re: My Mosaic

Glad it’s a reasonably quick recovery @Snowie not good that he needs a knee replacement though.

Mother’s Day… not sure what we are doing. Maybe pancakes for breakfast?

tomorrow I’m gonna go to some op shops once I’ve dropped D off. Need to get out of the house.

Re: My Mosaic

Would rather stay at home mothers day @Bow

I guess at least I can do mum and MIL at the same time!

Ohh I love op shops. We have two local one's. Picked up a few more books last week.

Happy hunting hon 😁Hopefully getting out of the house for a bit helps.
