My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Well done for getting to the market @Bow I know that was a really big step with everything happening lately. The car can wait.

I do hope your CM comes tomorrow. She can see firsthand just how much these changes are affecting you and having an impact on your well being and your MH. Maybe she needs to see it in person.

My day was ok. Spent longer than I wanted to with mum. At least I left her happy.

Didn't get to the dumplings @tyme but have all the ingredients ready for tomorrow!

Re: My Mosaic

OMG! @Snowie @Bow . We must've posted pretty much as the same time and were thinking the same thing! I just read the post above about the markets. Good on you for going through with it. I hear how hard it would've been.

I'm glad that your SW cares and they are coming to see you tomorrow. I hope you find it's a helpful visit.

Are you resting now @Snowie @Bow ?

Oh, and @Snowie , I posted about the dumplings elsewhere I think...

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme I did read your post elsewhere about the dumplings. That's a great idea to make them and freeze them. Might have to do that. I've already told the kids I'm making them tomorrow so they'll both make sure they are around!!

I'm on the couch watching the footy atm. Will see how long I last...

Re: My Mosaic

Yep resting now. Watching some tv, but going to go crawl into bed soon @tyme @Snowie body is very tired. Sore.

I unfortunately don’t hold much hope that my case manager will have much helpful words to support me with what’s going on with the support workers. I find my cm rather invalidating, dismissive. She be like…. you’ve done it before you can do it again. Urgh.

Re: My Mosaic

Fair point @Bow . I guess they are putting the onus back on you. I hear it's not easy to hear it and it feels so invalidating. I hope you find what works for you.

Rest up hun

Re: My Mosaic

oh @Bow I hate those words 'you've done it before, you can do it again..."

Some of the worst things you can say to someone

I really hope she listens and validates, will keep my fingers crossed

Crawling into bed sounds nice, I really hope you can get some sleep tonight

Re: My Mosaic

CM wasn’t much help @Snowie she knew and I guess to a tiny bit understood.. she asked questions. Then she asked how it’s all played out this week, told her I’ve shut down, not eating much, not drinking much, haven’t showered, been in the same clothes all week, sh. She was like well ya gotta stop all that. Can’t let it continue. Wants me to go get my bloods done. She asked why I didn’t go to my psych on Thursday, said I was shut down and didn’t want to waste his time. Would have just sat there and not talked. She told me to make sure I go this week.
I see ANOTHER new pdoc Tuesday. She asked who was gonna go to that…. My SW or my new SW. how would I freaking know??????? So she said she’d make sure she go. Which is good.
I was already in tears. AND there was a random guy here too with my CM. Then my CM asked if there was anything else that’s happened this week. I told her about my brother and cried even more.
she didn’t bother to ask about my safety though. Too much to deal with on a Sunday? Or maybe she thought I’d be too selfish to be in that place considering my brother?

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow

Sounds like CM wasn't very helpful. If it was that easy to stop everything, doesn't she think you would have by now. Sometimes I don't think they think before they speak and know just how much their words can hurt.

I really do think that if they ask those 'safety questions' then they'll be forced to maybe actually do some work. Too much effort for a Sunday afternoon.

So besides the CM visit, how has today been?

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Snowie

they really don’t get it alot of the time unfortunately.

I’ve tried to keep myself busy. Unloaded the car from yesterday. Tried to do some more to the furniture piece I’m working on. But when I have such low motivation, I start, think it looks terrible and not what I was planning and then give up. I did some Lego. Just on the couch watching pointless tv.

and I have bad nausea.

how’s your day?

Re: My Mosaic

No sometimes they just don't get it @Bow

Well done for trying to stay busy. Can be really hard with low motivation.

Days been so so . Ended up at mums again. She complained her mobile phone wasn't working again. It was fine, she had somehow turned off the bluetooth so couldn't hear it through her hearing aids.

Spent rest on couch watching tv.
