Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Sorry about that news @Bow

That really isn't fair. Shouldn't be your problem, they should find a solution for you (that doesn't cost that amount of money)

Re: My Mosaic

It’s been an ongoing issue @Snowie whenever the pdocs move on. It really is stupid. At one point when I was faced with this situation I write to my local member of parliament. He met with me and heard me out and said it shouldn’t be an issue.

this shouldn’t be my issue. They prescribed the medication to me in the first place and knew about this.

grrrrrrr

i don’t have the capacity at the moment

Re: My Mosaic

No it shouldn't be an issue @Bow especially not for you.

They should be solving it without even telling you.

I'm sorry you have to go through this.

Re: My Mosaic

Urgh

I can’t even call my CM back and tell her how angry I am @Snowie she is now off for the next week. I held it together while on the phone sigh

i ended up getting a bbq chicken for dinner for D and I, and chips and some fish for mum. I didn’t eat much, not hungry at all.

Re: My Mosaic

Thats not good @Bow your CM now being away. Can't even discuss it with her.

Could you speak to your old SW about it? Maybe she might be able to come up with another solution.

Sounds great for tea hon, no cooking required.

Re: My Mosaic

That is very frustraiting @Bow re: medication scripts. Especially when it adds to the demand for the limited number of pdocs. Where i live has rules that the initial prescription of stimulant meds must be done by a pdoc, but after that they can delegate it to be repeats done by the GPs - which alleavates that time and money pressure if someone is stabilised on a longterm dosage (not needing titration reviews frequently anymore).

I hope you can get it to a pdoc before your current final script and filling of the script run out. It might be worth letting the practice know the situation re: medication script (if you havent already, that is!) with regard to when your lost dose will run out and requesting to be on an urgent cancellation list for a script-only (15 minute?) appointment. If you have been a longterm patient of the clinic (albeit with the pdoc on leave) a new pdoc may be ammenable to it if they have access to your clinical/meds history from the practice. 🤔

Fingers crossed either way for you.

Enjoy your bbq chicken dinner 😊. I didnt grow up with any special food or restrictions for good friday (or even with lent), but learned about it from friends' families when i was a young teen. I always forget people eat fish and not other meat 😋. (I grew up in christian environment, but not of those traditions)

Re: My Mosaic

@AlwaysMyself because I take the adhd stimulant medication off label for my treatment resistant depression the pdoc has to apply to the government to be able to write the scripts which the approval can take up to a week to come back. And each new pdoc has to apply for this approval as the approval sits with each pdoc and not with me. Which is crazy!! Now I have had 6 pdoc since the first one prescribed it to me 2 yrs ago. Crazy! The system needs to change!

I think the last pdoc I had, there was talk that he could give permission for my gp to do scripts, he was suppose to talk to me about it at an appointment but never did. I had told my case manager when she told me about it that they would need to discuss it with my gp, not me. My gp is amazing, but she is very overly cautious with me. She will not write any of my other mh scripts and any other medication like my potassium supplements, she sends straight to the chemists. I have made many serious attempts and this is her way of keeping me safe. So I don’t even know if she would agree to write the scripts anyways.

im suppose to be going into hospital in just over a week… I don’t even know how that would work there and whether they would give it to me there or not? I think I have a couple of weeks left at the chemist in Webster packs and I maybe have a weeks worth at home from when I’ve forgotten to take it. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

I grew up Christian and use to have a very strong faith. I’d normally eat fish today, but am off fish at the moment for some reason.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah it’s really annoying her being away now @Snowie i think she was organising a random to call me during the week but I don’t think I’d feel comfortable talking to them about it.

I can definitely talk to my old SW about it and my SW is supposed to be back Tuesday too. I have my sleep study follow up appointment Tuesday and then Wednesday I have my follow up from my surgery I had.

just packed the car for tomorrow. It’s a game of Tetris really…. And had to change things around as I got a new chair. I sorted through my stock and packed some of my new stuff.

how was dinner?

Re: My Mosaic

Hopefully your old SW and SW can help and do something about it @Bow

I do remember you getting a new chair hon. Hopefully it makes the day a little more comfy.

Dinner was nice. Same fish and chip shop we always go too. They were a lot more busy than normal. Just glad I didn't have to cook!

Re: My Mosaic

Well we drove out to market @Snowie it’s about 15-20min drive out to a lil country town and it was raining. Pulled over and checked the forecast, none of us really wanted to call it, so we asked D…. And she said let’s go home! Rain, Easter long weekend, start of school holidays, petrol crisis and pretty sure there is also another smaller Easter fair on this weekend.

so back home on the couch
