Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Oh I get that @Snowie …. putting stuff off until it’s right in your face. It’s just too hard yeah… especially when it involves decisions.

sorry your mum is giving you grief 😞

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Bow went and saw mum this morning, all smiles 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Have you got much on for the rest of the week?

D and H are going to the Grand Prix on Sat/Sun. They are right into F1. Got them tickets for Xmas last year.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh that’s hard @Snowie

not much on but we do have our first market this Saturday. I had planned to build up my stock over the summer break, but I did nothing. I’ve got plenty for Saturday but need to get in and do some work.

the male psychologist that I was meant to meet with a few weeks ago called this morning. Have booked in to see him next Thursday. Have to at least try yeah? Apart from him, haven’t heard from anyone there since Monday and they said all this stuff and nothing.
my SW texted me this morning asking how I was… told her ‘an admission can’t come quickly enough. A lot of noise causing a lot of distress’. Oh no that’s not good. She’s away Monday-Tuesday at least, maybe all next week cause her daughter is having surgery.
And then mums goes to tassie Wednesday.

do you like the f1 too? There’s lots of Lego sets for that I think.

you got anything on the rest of the week?

Re: My Mosaic

Ohh market day @Bow Hopefully you sell lots. I guess it's good distraction having to make more things to sell.

It's very brave to go see the male psych hon. I guess its a bit like you won't know unless you try. Hopefully your SW can be around for this, or at least sit with you before hand.

Has your mum said anymore about you going in when she gets back? At least it won't be a surprise for you as she knows some of whats happening.

How long is she away for?

I think D has almost every F1 lego set thats been released so far!!! Even the non lego sets she has too. She really likes McClaren, so has them all. I don't mind the F1, will watch it, but not into like they are. I like the fact that they can go and spend some time together over something they both like.

The rest of this week for me is fairly quiet. Next week got a few things on so enjoying the quiet while it lasts.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah, guess it will keep me busy while mum is away too @Snowie

im hoping my SW will be back for Thursday. It will just depend how her D goes. She has a lot of chronic health issues and is terminally ill. So I try really hard not to be too annoyed by her absence.

no hasn’t been anything else said. I know I really need it. And when I’m having a really rough day I try remind myself to just keep pushing through. It’s hard though. Mums back on the 28th March. But I need to get through until just after the 9th April. Will do April market, Easter, my birthday, 2 medical appointments for results from my sleep study and my recent surgery. And we are going to the Easter show. Then I can stop. It’s a lot. It feels like a long time away. But it is what it is.

I had a call from comm mh a bit ago. Same lady. Tried to be honest but she was annoying. She kept asking if I felt I needed to go to hospital. She said based on what I said she was concerned and needed to speak with her team leader and call me back. She called back and said that we need to go through a safety plan, she made sure I knew how to call 000 and the mental health line. And I’ll go in and see them again on Monday morning.

how does your D display her cars?? It sounds cool

Re: My Mosaic

Thats sad to hear about your SW @Bow At least you know she is taking time off for valid reasons, not just because she's had enough. Hopefully she will be there

It is hard when life gets in the way hon. I can totally relate to wanting to get through events and not wanting hospital stays to impact our kids, especially around special events. I remember more than once time putting my admissions off because of the kids. Not wanting me to impact their happiness.

I'm glad they are concerned, hopefully that might mean a bit more support.

D displays her lego on a few book cases amongst all her books and one of my mums cabinets. She hasn't got her lego from when she was younger anymore, so it is more the older aged lego she's got. She has got some pieces that aren't the lego brand too.

S still has all his lego but most of it is in boxes. The lego he displays is more cars and star wars.

I even have H's lego from when he was a kid in boxes. Some of it is really cool, especially the astronaut one's.

This is Jett, Remi and Juno. I’ve put these soft Velcro collars on them cause you can’t tell them apart otherwise, except for one that has a kinky tail. I don’t know which is which though, they are due for a vaccine booster in a few weeks, then they can scan their microchip and then I’ll be able to put a name to a coloured collar. At the moment they are just green, blue and purple!

they are super cute, 3 boisterous boys running around wrestling each other. They are slowly warming up to me and approaching me.
these guys were bought in by a vet nurse who found them abandoned with no sight if mum. 7 weeks old.

@Snowie @tyme @AuntGlow @Eve7 @Jynx

oh and my other ginger cat arrived this morning!

The kitties are scrawnier than I thought! They are so gorgeous! Wow! I'm sure they are full of energy and keeping you on your toes @Bow !

And you have the lego to match!

@tyme I do worry about her a bit. I think just coming from a broken home and all that that can entail. And like I worry about her socially. I don’t think she is delayed in any social skills… but I guess it’s just something I worry about. Being socially accepted, having good friendships and peers and not being bullied or anything… ya just want the best for ya kids and that kinda stuff is so important. And with having moved schools, I’ve really worried that she would struggle to make new friends half way through primary school. But she’s got a good friend. And a couple of other friends and she’s got a little friend who is a boy…. That she is good friends with from her old school that she has kept in touch with. His been here twice for play dates.
I was bullied relentlessly as a kid, it got pretty serious at times. I just don’t want that for her.

That's every parent's worry @Bow . What are the high schools like in your area? I think that where a lot of issues can happen.
