Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @tyme

kitties are going well. Eating, toileting and playing. They are good time wasters.

Nothing happened that I can think of, just feeling crummy.

maybe I worded it wrong… but my current SW said it about my old SW who has come back.

the meltdown…. I can’t even remember what started it to be honest, think she was just told that she needed to eat her dinner or no ice cream. She only eats cauliflower and carrots, and covers it all in tomato sauce. I think she has some ARFID signs and also Asperger. Starting to take some notes. But this meltdown over dinner went on for over 45mins. Once she starts she struggles to then regulate her emotions I guess. I don’t know. This kinda stuff is really hard to deal with for me.

Arghhh... you poor thing. Sounds like the tween stage?? My niece is going through all of that. I seriously don't know how these kids grow up so quickly.

But then again, I think you mentioned D is pretty good at school... right? Any concerns at school?

I'm sorry you are feeling crummy. Hopefully the kitties can cheer you up @Bow

Oh! I get it now! I thought the SW said it about you!! I'm was flabbergasted!

Re: My Mosaic

Oh yes D is definitely very hormonal @tyme she even made the comment one night something along the lines of…. ‘You should expect this cause I’m becoming a woman.’ I did have to giggle a little cause I didn’t say that to her!

But she has been very picky with her food for years and I guess I just start to worry as she’s maturing that she isn’t getting all the good stuff she needs.

school- no one has said anything. But I have noticed that she tries to have sick days a lot. That never use to happen.

kitties are all tucked up in bed. Just went down to shut all the doors and turn the lights off. They started purring when I came over to their enclosure.

how’s the start of your week?

Re: My Mosaic

No wonder you are concerned about her @Bow . Teenagehood is hard, even for the best of us.

I hope she is able to talk and open up to you.

Then again, I remember you saying that she likes to spend a lot of time on her own in her room. I"m glad you are keeping an eye on her.

Moving schools is also hard. She's done pretty well, considering she's had a big move,.

Have any of her friends come over at all? I remember she was tidying her room the other day - for her friend to come over who never really came.

Hi dear @Bow

This is Jett, Remi and Juno. I’ve put these soft Velcro collars on them cause you can’t tell them apart otherwise, except for one that has a kinky tail. I don’t know which is which though, they are due for a vaccine booster in a few weeks, then they can scan their microchip and then I’ll be able to put a name to a coloured collar. At the moment they are just green, blue and purple!

they are super cute, 3 boisterous boys running around wrestling each other. They are slowly warming up to me and approaching me.
these guys were bought in by a vet nurse who found them abandoned with no sight if mum. 7 weeks old.

@Snowie @tyme @AuntGlow @Eve7 @Jynx

oh and my other ginger cat arrived this morning!

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme I do worry about her a bit. I think just coming from a broken home and all that that can entail. And like I worry about her socially. I don’t think she is delayed in any social skills… but I guess it’s just something I worry about. Being socially accepted, having good friendships and peers and not being bullied or anything… ya just want the best for ya kids and that kinda stuff is so important. And with having moved schools, I’ve really worried that she would struggle to make new friends half way through primary school. But she’s got a good friend. And a couple of other friends and she’s got a little friend who is a boy…. That she is good friends with from her old school that she has kept in touch with. His been here twice for play dates.
I was bullied relentlessly as a kid, it got pretty serious at times. I just don’t want that for her.

Hey @Bow

Those cats are super cute!

That looks like a hard lego to put together. A lot of the same colour. Hopefully it will keep you occupied for awhile/

I'm ok. just some things I had to work out. You know those things we keep putting off until they are right in your face! Also mum has been difficult too, but whats new.
