My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I’m just trying to connect a bit more @tyme i isolated myself a lot this week. I wrote down a list of 4 or 5 things that I noticed this week that shows me how very unwell I have been. Nothing else has really changed unfortunately. I got a mouthful of rather painful ulcers.

yes my past work. Feels like a lifetime ago. Once I got out of the resi side of things, I mostly enjoyed it. Did you know I planned and coordinated a ski trip for 20 foster kids. Me and 4 other staff members went. Drove a mini bus with a big box trailer down to thredbo and back. I also took a girl over to NZ to spend time with her grandmother.

sorry things have been challenging for you. Hope things get sorted for you.

kmart have a couple of those wooden 3D jigsaw puzzles. And yep, I’ve done a couple. And have another one on the go.

Good on your for reaching out and trying something different. Even just noticing things can lead to a shift. @Bow

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been well. I hope the ulcers clear.

And your past life... wow! That's incredible @Bow Sounds like you made such a difference to their lives.

Re: My Mosaic

Be nice if it was a big enough shift to see a difference @tyme other wise I think things will end with me having an admission. Pdoc may even push for it on Monday if my SW tells him how I have been.

just need some better self care and personal hygiene really… but it’s all too hard at the moment.

it was a pretty good job. Was nice to clock off at the end of the day knowing I’d made a difference for a kid. But it was also rough at times.

Re: My Mosaic

It may not feel like a difference to you, but I see a shift @Bow .

As for admissions, do you want to be in there? Do you think it will be helpful? From my own experiences, I know that if someone is sent their 'kicking and screaming', the therapeutic work is very limited, if any.

Re: My Mosaic

With the way things have been for me @tyme sometimes I feel like I need it. That perhaps it could be beneficial. ECT. It’s just a huge burden on my mum.

Re: My Mosaic

That tells me that you are open to it which is certainly a start. @Bow I hope you find a way to articulate that you feel it is time to go on.

I wonder if knowing that you will have an upcoming admission helps you feel more relaxed?

I remember with my admissions, as much as I hated them, while in there, I could stop worrying about trying to keep safe. I could relax at last and let my body heal....

Don't get me wrong, I had other challenges in there... but part of me could relax
