Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Hi @Bow

I'm sorry to hear that your Therapist is moving on. This kind of change can be really difficult to process. It also sucks that the timing doesn't feel right for you or on your own terms.

I know sometimes when I have had Psychogists move on suddenly it has been a challenge. Something I have found helpful is writing a letter to the Therapist to thank them for their time. And also using my remaining time with the Therapist to discuss what I found so helpful about them and what to look out for in my next person. Are either of these options you think might work for you?

Or maybe some other Forum members could chip in about things that have helped them when transitioning from a Clinican?

Re: My Mosaic

So sorry to hear the news @Bow

I have had to change psych's twice and it is never an easy thing to do. It feels like you have to start all over again. I hope you are able to find someone, perhaps even at the same clinic.

Here for you hon 💜

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Eve7 @Snowie @Former-Member

My psych will talk to her clinical director and find someone else in the same clinic. Hopefully by the end of this week I will have some news about a new psych. But not sure if there will be a wait with the new one?

I feel really let down. The timing of this sucks having just got out of hospital. I need stability at the moment.

Standing with you @Bow in agreement. I hope the new psych is better.

Re: My Mosaic

The timing does suck @Bow

It is hard enough to find a good psych. I used to have a really good one until they left. It is super hard not to take it personally too. It is also super hard to feel like we have to start all over again.

I hope you are able to get in to see a new psych quickly hon.

Sitting with you 💜

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Eve7 maybe it was suppose to happen?

thanks @Snowie starting a fresh is always hard. She said she would give a good handover and let her have access to all her notes if I allow it. But it's never easy. This will be my third psych in less than a year.

my mental health nurse has just finished too and handed me off to someone else. I only seen her a couple of times. I liked her, if only she had more time and was more organised. But the replacement called me today, a guy. I said no. That I didn't think it was necessary. His a guy to start with. His English was terrible. Sigh.

I need to email the professor too. I seen her twice in hospital, want to see where things are at with seeing her. I think I need it still.

and the finding your way back peer worker is finishing up next week too. It was only a 12 week program. I really liked her. She said cause of Lockdown there is the option to stay on a bit longer, not sure how much, but I'll take it. It's nice having someone care, someone to check in and just talk to. She called me every day while in hospital in the beginning. Just to talk.

my old pastors are also away still. In far north qld and no idea how long they will be away for still. Was suppose to be 8 weeks, but who would want to come home ti harsh lockdowns?!

im looking forward to bed time tonight. I feel smashed today. Flat. Depressed. And beaten.
