My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Sometimes days just at home are nice @Bow

How is D going walking to and from school?

Mum's got gp in the morning and then I have to take her to the supermarket. I go into her gp appt's. now. She doesn't really remember what's said in them.

They have a gp come where she is living but of course she doesn't want to use that one 🤦‍♀️Hasn't even given them a try.

Re: My Mosaic

She’s going ok @Snowie there is 2 streets and a small cul-de-sac that she has to cross to get to school, the cul-de-sac she is fine with but she is scared of the streets. She knows what to do, hoping that given some time she will be ok.
She refused to eat dinner tonight cause I got tomato sauce from woolies instead of aldi. She was the one that insisted that she needed the sauce yesterday instead of waiting until today. Apparently it tastes different. Just like raspberry jelly cups from woolies are too wet compared to the Cole’s ones. She will only eat cauliflower and carrots and she refused to eat them tonight cause she didn’t like the tomato sauce. Oh and she told me that next time we have gravy (we buy the sachets already made) that if there isn’t some left over for her to have more of then don’t give her gravy at all cause if she has tomato sauce once the gravy has run out it tastes yucky. SIGH. She seriously tests me some times. And it sooo much worse when I’m not in a god place already.

oh that’s annoying that she won’t at least give the gp there a go. I hope it’s an easy morning for you.

Re: My Mosaic

I guess it is a big step walking to school by herself @Bow Hopefully over time she gets more comfortable with it and it becomes second nature.

I never had that problem. The school my kids went to was about a 10 min drive so they always were driven or caught a bus when older.

Oh dear hon, you were so good not to loose your patience with her. It can be so hard giving them what they like, and on top of that you have to deal with particular brands. It must be a lot harder when you are not going well. I think you deserve a medal just getting through dinner!

Mum says she isn't picky but is with everything. Has to be a particular gp, only likes one brand of toothpaste, buys a certain toilet paper! Oh the other day it took me 3 goes to get her coffee right! The list goes on. That's why I have to take her to Aldi and Coles. Hopefully the morning goes ok.
