My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I'm sorry @Bow I forgot what day it was.

They probably have seen it before hon, except if they are very new.

Perhaps the time they will see them is when you are already asleep.

However I know that it can be very worrying too hon. I can understand why you are worried, I have scars too that I hide from everyone.

@tyme I'm sure that they have had people say yes to the questions. They would still go ahead with treatment, I think they just make sure you are safe when leaving. You have to have someone pick you up (friend/relative, etc). The people that pick you up have to sign a form that puts you in their care for 24 hours. It just really says what you can and cannot do for the next 24 hours.

Re: My Mosaic

I had a prcedure once and no one told me I couldn't drive for 24 hrs... I ended up in a car accident @Snowie

Re: My Mosaic

Thats no good @tyme

I'm not meant to drive, sign legal documents or make legal decisions for 24 hrs.

I even think your insurance company can say you weren't covered or those hours too.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah, I actually brought it up but in the end, I was too unwell to fight it so I left it and paid out out of pocket @Snowie

Re: My Mosaic

Just finished off my daughters back to school board. I’ve been doing it every year since she started kindergarten. Nearly forgot about it.

im watching the John Farnham special on tv. He was the first concert I went to at the age of 12. Sang a few notes from a song and my cat that was sitting beside me got up and left 💁🏼

but daughter is in bed and I think I’m gonna go to bed though. Exhausted and sore.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh! Is tomorrow her first day back @Bow ??? How cute that she has her board each year. Just like my nephews and nieces..

I was looking at my nephew's only last week, and I was a bit sad that he's lost all his baby fat from when he first started school. I was speaking to my sister tonight about him and she said that he was the only kid that clung to her leg and wouldn't let go on the first day of school... so much so, by sister sat in the car and cried.

The youngest starts mid week.. I reckon my sister will just drop her with no issues... the last one is the wild one!

Re: My Mosaic

Are you doing more of a practical paint or a creative one? @Bow

Ahh, that sounds very uncomfortable. 😣 A break sounds like a good idea for the rest of the night.

I hope you hear back from her soon. In the meantime, we are here if you would like to chat about what's on your mind. 🫶

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah first day back today @tyme she’s been so excited to go back, so today’s finally here. Yeah, I have a chalk board, it reads ‘name’ first day of ….and then we have boxes that have, I am … years old. My favourite colour is….. I want to be……. I love…… and we fill in the dots each year. It’s funny to see how they change each year. Just went back and found all her first day of photos and the different occupants she wanted to be…. Ballerina, farmer, teacher, detective, music teacher and this year she wants to be an artist.

Re: My Mosaic

@AuntGlow I am currently painting a vintage cupboard kid’s wardrobe type thing. I’ve done a few coats of paint and it’s still really patchy. So I gave it a sand yesterday and started using a roller instead of a paint brush. So hoping that that helps.

I guess the thing is though @AuntGlow you ‘we are here’ but your not really. With all the changes and stuff, there isn’t many around. I think that’s what I find really frustrating and disappointing, the empty promises.
