My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Thats great @Bow you can add to your already huge collection!! 😀

D and I were thinking of going to another book sale in a few weeks. Not that I need any more books!

Re: My Mosaic

No @tyme just a busy day. We went to 2 book stores, the Lego shop, pop mart, Starbucks, and a cotton on outlet store.
It was a huge effort for me in all honesty. Mentally exhausting. Physically too in the heat which I don’t cope with. As I’m sure you know Sydney is a busy place. People annoy me- face in their phones not looking where they are going and no apology when your the one that’s gotta dodge them. A lot of people think they are entitled. Already on edge, but was a bit more on edge while out and about today.

Re: My Mosaic

Nope! Totally get you @Bow ! People'd-out... that's what I'd call it.

Although starbucks sounds good. They have $5 frappiccinos over the long weekend. I was going to get one today, but after not feeling so good in the stomach yesterday, I'm a little hesitant.

Did you buy any lego? Also, is Popmart a store? I thought it was just a company that makes those labubu ugly things...

Rest up, now that you are home. Are you just chilling now?

I do love adding to my collection @Snowie

I hope you and D get to the book sale!

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah lots of people @tyme!

we don’t have a Starbucks near us, so today was a treat. I got this iced blended thing, it was pink and very refreshing.

i got the Disney Marie cat Lego. Already managed to get all the new botanicals sets delivered from Kmart/bigw.

and yep there are pop mart stores here. There is 2 in Sydney and the one we went to was 2 storeys. It was huge. And so many different blind box collectibles.

yep just on the couch. Our landlord was here when we got home- mum was home. But watching some tv with d now

how was your day?

Re: My Mosaic

I wanted to go get starbucks today, but didn't end up going. I might go this evening or tomorrow. Was your drink the dragonfruit refresher drink @Bow ?

What's happening for you? Have you been to the markets recently? I don't recall hearing about it.

In response to: Re: My Mosaic

Re: My Mosaic

Yes that’s the drink I had, the dragonfruit refresher @tyme thinking of getting up and making myself an iced drink of some kind. Maybe an iced chai.

not much happening here. No country market until march- they have Jan and feb off. We might do the other market next month. Haven’t really been doing much. Had a house inspection last week so did some prepping for that. Painting furniture and just trying to survive. I have a medical procedure on the 4th and pre-op for that this coming Wednesday. Got a sleep clinic initial consult on the 3rd too. I still don’t have a psychologist, CM said they thought they had someone but they don’t do trauma?? Also talks about having ECT again.

Re: My Mosaic

You mean those appointments are in Feb? You've got a lot happening it sounds. And with the psych, I hope they find one who is a good fit for you and that you are comfortable with. The last thing you need is someone you don't get along with. @Bow

I've tried the dragonfruit in the past. It wasn't as good as I'd expected. But it WAS refreshing though. I want to get a drink but don't know which one. The problem is, they have too many choices!

How's your brother?

Re: My Mosaic

Yep, the 3rd and 4th of feb, not this week but next. Pre-op this week @tyme

@yeah hoping for a good fit for my psychologist. CM said not everyone is back from holidays yet, so once that happens they will have a better idea of who has space.

they do have alot of choices. I just made an iced chai.

my brother is ok. Spoke with him this morning. His gotta have a brain mri on Thursday. The dr called him a couple of days ago after he had the ctscan at the hospital and was told he had had the stroke. The dr said the scan was inconclusive and it didn’t look like a stroke. ( @Captain24 this is exactly why people doing the scans should not/aren’t meant to say anything!)

Re: My Mosaic

Oh! So it wasn't a stroke! I really hope it's not going to be bad @Bow Is your mum going to go earlier?

Also, with your chai, do you use the packet stuff or do you boil the spices? I go to this cafe and they make the best chai. They literally boil all the spices in the pot with milk and then they give you a strainer to strain it. It's delish.

I don't like the sweet sweet chai like the ones from Hungry Jacks, 7/11 etc. Too sweet.
