My Mosaic

MIL has been with her partner for 30+ years @Bow. He has taken time off work to look after her. She almost needs someone 24/7 these days.

H has a sister too, but she lives about an hour away.

Downstairs might be a good idea hon. I know how much you dislike the heat.

It's hard with little one's, keeping them occupied all the time. Hard when it's up to you to entertain them. Sometimes you just want to have them occupy themselves, give you a break.

Haven't really seen S much. He has been working most days. Comes home for food and sleep!!

Spent the afternoon doing clay creations with D @Snowie we used some air dry clay first. Had some for ages wanting to play with it, so finally getting around to it. I seen this dice vase online earlier today. It was 3 dice stacked and then some red Lego roses inside it. Found them online but super expensive, so I made one! Have to wait for it to dry and then put it together, so hopefully it will turn out. D didn’t like the air dry clay, was a bit messy and she couldn’t get it right. So once I finished we pulled the polymer clay out. I made a heap of worry stones and D made a Mickey Mouse head and then a couple of worry stones. Gotta cook them now.

and need to cook dinner now too!

I know, change can be scary @Bow but I think the forums will face the least amount of change while SANE works on improving their service offerings in other areas - Hopefully that will all be good change which makes the service easier to access and navigate, but as far as forums go I think the only change will be having more staff trained on here. We're all being trained to be able to work across the different services in addition to the ones we already know which will be interesting, but I know all the of 'forums team' will maintain our soft spot for being on here!

I'm sorry to hear about your boxing day! To go to all of that effort and then for them to not do you the courtesy of communicating their plans with you sooner...That's really disappointing.

Sometimes those smaller Christmas celebrations can be really nice, but to have it sprung on you like that isn't fair

New years sounds really nice though!

@Bow D probably doesn't realise how lucky she is to have you and all the arts and crafts that she can do with you. In time I think she will appreciate it.

I could never offer my kids the sort of things that you do with your D.
