Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I’ll just sit @Snowie I will probably say the wrong thing and I can’t deal with that on top of everything else even though it would be helpful to chat abit.

thanks

Been in a cleaning frenzy today. Least I have clean bathrooms!

Re: My Mosaic

I’ve been cleaning a bit today and yesterday @Snowie gave downstairs a bit of a deep clean since the kittens are gone. Downstairs is half garage and then the other half is a heap of storage rooms and then a wet area with toilet, shower and hand basin. Wet area came in real handy with the kittens. But yesterday I swept and mopped the wet area. This morning I vacuumed and then cleaned the carpet. It’s nice and clean and smells fresh.

Re: My Mosaic

It's nice when the house is clean @Bow Not nice doing it but good when it's done!

I find it's a good distraction at times. Can help keep my mind busy.

I'm setting up the spare room for guests to stay. Have a bed and side table, just need bedding for it. We need a place for H's Dad to stay when he comes to visit and also my Aunt (mums sister) when she comes down to visit Mum.

I told S to clean his room. It is a typical boys room, crap everywhere.

Re: My Mosaic

Yep I find cleaning a good distraction too @Snowie it something that requires just the right amount of drive and energy to be distraction enough.

we are due for a house inspection any time now. I dread opening my email incase I find an email from them. I’ll be pretty cranky though if they book it in between now and NY. That’s just rude and inconsiderate. We also have some house sitters coming while we go on our cruise- so at least downstairs is all clean for that.

it’s nice that you’ll have that space for visitors. Is the spare room where your mum was?

yeah… sigh. Kids rooms! I really need to give my D’s room a good clean out. Her clothes need a good cull. Urgh just remembered…. She was sick early this morning and I was suppose to pull her big mat out and hose it down…. and I forgot 😫 stupid me

Re: My Mosaic

It's tricky @Bow Sometimes I just don't have any energy to do anything, but at the same time I know that it's a good distraction.

I do like the smell of a clean house though

Oh that would be just rude if the house inspection is between now and the new year. I hope it isn't. We had one last month for one of our houses. They are really good people, they keep it so clean.

House sitters. Do they sleep in your house too or just visit?

My niece is house sitting in WA at the moment with her boyfriend. The people left for a trip around Aus and are there for 9 months!

Our house has a downstairs area at the back of the house that's like a little unit. Has it's own bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, living room. That's where mum lived.

Sorry to hear about D. Is she ok? Never good when they are sick.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh I’m the same @Snowie no energy. So much fatigue. It often feels like I’m moving concrete. But I will say since I’ve been taking vitamin D…. 3x the dose… I think I’m feeling a bit better energy wise. I think.

We were told that our real estate were really strict. So we went above and beyond for our first inspection and we’re still expecting comments. But everything was fine. They said that they appreciated how well we were looking after the house.

house sitters… yes they stay here. Mostly to look after the animals. We use a website that does ID checks and reference checks. We used them when we went overseas last yr. We have a Brit and a Danish couple sitting this time. We’ve had a couple of video calls with them. She’s working at a zoo. We always change one of the bedroom door nobs and lock everything valuable and private away.

oh 9mths would be a nice stay! Time to get a job and have free accommodation!

yeah she will be fine. She’ll be off tomorrow again cause she is still running to the loo. Gotta be 24hrs I think. Just hope she’s ok Thursday otherwise annoyingly I’ll have to take her to the gp to get a medical certificate… anymore than 3 days and they require that.

do you have anything on tomorrow?

Re: My Mosaic

I'm glad you are feeling a bit better energy wise @Bow Hopefully the Vit B is helping. I take it too daily.

Hopefully your next inspection goes fine. If they were happy with the first one then I'm sure they'll be happy with the next one.

At least you don't have to worry about your pets whilst you are away. One less thing. Hopefully it all goes well this time too.

This is the second house my niece and her bf are house sitting. She is a nurse so can get work pretty much anywhere. Both houses have been in the same area so she's working at the local hospital. They are looking after two dogs.

Oh I hope D gets better soon and it's only a 24hr bug. They pick up so many things from school.

Have to take mum up the street tomorrow. Haven't seen her since Sat and she's complaining 🤦‍♀️Then she wants m to write Christmas cards for her since she can't write properly anymore. So looking forward to it, not.

Am I right in saying that you are going to meet your new pdoc tomorrow? If thats the case I hope things go ok hon. I know how anxiety provoking that can be.
