My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Thanks @tyme

im gonna head off to sleep repeating your words tonight.

Oh and I will have to show you what I have been making with my cricut for our Disney cruise. They do this thing called pixie dust- basically just random acts of kindness.

Good morning @Bow

Read about that centre opening near you. Would be good if you could check it out with your SW today.

I hope today goes a little better for you 💕💕

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Snowie how r u?

I did end up going to that new mh centre today. Spoke with my SW on the phone this morning … lots to deal with and talk about this morning cause I had a rough night. I’m tired.
The new Medicare mh centre looks really nice. Warm and inviting. Lots of cozy spaces to go sit. We got a tour. The lady on admin asked if I was linked in with any other services, I told her yeah and said the name of our community mh centre, she said she hadn’t heard of that before (the like?!?!), then I said just community mental health, again she hadn’t heard of that either. Who are they employing??? We took a seat and waited for someone to come do an intake. The lady on admin came back after about 10mins and said she’d do it cause no one else was available. She asked some questions and then lost all the info and said she’d wouldn’t ask again and would just try and remember but then asked most of them again anyways (they were pretty sensitive questions too). Was then told that I needed to complete a full intake interview via the phone and then they would determine whether I could access their services. Thought it was available to everyone?? I think I only really want to be able to access it as a drop in support perhaps when my other supports aren’t around. But there really didn’t seem to be many people around. Hopefully it’s just cause it’s opened?

im just vegging on the couch. I’m tired

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Well done for going along today to check it out.

Hopefully it's just some teething problems because they have just opened.

It would be good if it is a space where you can go to if you need that extra help. Another resource would be great.

I took mum shopping for clothes and shoes today. Had to drive a bit to get to a large shopping centre. We had lunch out too. She got what she wanted so was happy.

Vegging on the couch seems perfectly reasonable. Great way to spend an afternoon.

Sounds like your day was ok @Snowie ?

I really need to go have a shower. Like not negotiable.

Re: My Mosaic

Day went ok @Bow She only told me twice she didn't like my new hair colour and once those jeans don't suit you😏 Thats a good day for her!!

Ahh the dreaded shower. Sounds so easy yet can be such a difficult thing to do.

Re: My Mosaic

That’s ok then @Snowie what new hair colour do you have? Speaking of jeans I’ve always been a skinny/straight jean person and never liked the look of wide/baggy leg jeans but have decided that I’m at least going to try a pair on.

Well I’ve had a shower. Washed my hair and shaved my leg. It had been way too long for all of that and with these medical complications I’ve been having I really should shower more. But baby wipes have to do most days. I know we all talk about it a lot, but it’s just so hard. Such a huge effort.

Re: My Mosaic

All I did with my hair was go darker @Bow Closer to my natural hair colour. Not as if I went pink or something. But she has never been good at keeping her opinion to herself.

Well done on the shower. Extra point for hair and legs.

It can be such a huge effort, especially when we have lots of other things happening.

Re: My Mosaic

You got much on over the coming days @Snowie

D and I are going to a second hand book fair tomorrow. We will also go to the beach cause it’s down the coast. Then a relatively quiet weekend.

Re: My Mosaic

That book fair sounds exciting @Bow You might be able to find more Alice books!

Was actually just talking to D about a book sale on near us on Saturday. Think we might go.

Busy few days coming up.

Tomorrow night going out to tea (with family) for S's birthday

Saturday night have S's friends coming over to celebrate his birthday
