Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

She certainly didn’t have any social awareness @Ru-bee

it was rather unpleasant

im about to go walk to pick my d up from school. There is a tradie parked behind my car and don’t want to annoy him. Just hope I make it there and back. Not been feeling the greatest lately

Re: My Mosaic

It's not a bother. Can you think of what would be helpful right now @Bow ? Anything we can support with on the forums to make it easier?

Side note: the kiddos have 100 days of school celebrations on Friday. They are making t-shirts. I was thinking that a cricut would be great for it. Have you tried any iron-on projects?

Re: My Mosaic

Nah don’t know what would be helpful @tyme my thoughts are real bad and I’m just laying on the couch watching tv trying to turn the volume inside my down but not working. Relentless

I haven’t done any iron on stuff yet, but we got some of the paper the other day cause my SIL and bro are due with their second bub any time now. Mum wants to do a photo with ‘little brother, big sister, cousin’ on their tshirts. You got a heat press? I grabbed one of the ones from aldi this week.

Re: My Mosaic

With the thoughts, I'm thinking there's 2 ways about it:

1) get distracted so they are in the background

2) sit with the thoughts but keep telling yourself they are only thoughts

They both have their pros and cons. I feel option 1 is the go-to method, but if you can stick it out, option 2 is the therapeutic stuff. Have you done the 'thoughts flowing down a stream' mindfulness task? That is the one that helps with option 2.

With the heat press, cant you just use greaseproof paper and an iron on low? I used to do this with Hama bead art @Bow
