I'm really scared

I'm really scared

I've noticed today that I'm feeling I don't care about anything. Numb, disinterested, just don't care. I'm feeling very disconnected. I could read a very sad story and just not feel anything at all. It's odd. Not like me. Talking feels like a waste of time. I'm disinterested in conversation. I'm disinterested in following up on anything. I'm disinterested in my organisational skills and sorting through things. It's hard to sort out the thoughts and feelings in my head. I'm disinterested in my business. I'm disinterested in things I usually like. I'm worn out from repetiveness. I'm tired of life.I feel broken. I'm not sure what's wrong.

Please don't tell me to see a therapist or get on medication. That advice is not needed nor wanted.

@Pollyotter not crazy things at all. Strategies.

I believe number three is called grounding.

In my case, I'm starting to see clearer slowly what has made me disconnect. It's been one hell of a year. Things started to go really down hill fast when Coronairus hit in March this year. From there is spiralled out of control. I had three nervous breakdowns this year. Not far apart from each other and never had any real recovery time and stress built up on top of existing stress again, again and again. Just over two weeks ago, I completely exploded out if complete exhaustion and extreme fatigue.

I'd been in a very supportive role for eight months plus having a really hard time dealing with my childhood trauma and trying to come to terms with my pain and heartache. Put simply I have collapsed under the weight.

So, I have completely stopped working. I'm saying no to pretty much anything that is unnecessary for me. I have slept so much in the last two weeks and I allow it if I need it. If my body says sleep, I sleep. The thing is in this instance no one can tell me what I'd right for me. Only I can because I know what led up to this.

I'm very hurt. The pain if my lost childhood and the grief of the abuse I endured is on most days excruciating. I go through so many emotions and feelings with that alone and it's exhausting.

@Judi9877

It's nice to hear from you. Thanks for including me always in your morning hello posts. I'm sorry I don't reply often. I hear you and understand. The reason I mentioned please don't talk about medication or therapy are for these reasons.

One, I am already in medication and two I'm on a break from therapy for my own reasons. My therapist knows why. I come here just to talk and for support of a different kind that medication and therapy cannot give me. So, sometimes I mention that in my posts because otherwise it feels as if my worries are being dismissed. Medication and therapy can only help so much.

Thanks for sharing.

@Powderfinger Don’t have anything useful to say, but just that I can really relate to those feelings. Hope they feel better for you soon
