Checking In
Hi,
I'm not doing so well. Didn't have a good appointment with psychatrist today and because I am struggling, it is difficult for me to open up.

No naps for me today lol @TAB I have taken quite a bit of clothes to charity more recently. I still need to declutter but I am getting there. I've just ordered groceries online to collect tomorrow. If I get a nap in, might go to gym tonight. I should look at getting a tv for my room, watching TV helps me, to fall to sleep. Do you have much on for the rest of the week?

yeah tv would make me sleepy if in bed think @oceangirl nothing on friday unless I get energetic/creative, also depends on how I feel .. physio tomorrow morning for back and 2nd covid shot in afternoon, so heard all sorts of personal stories about people sleeping for a week etc, maybe an idea to stock up on essentials so I dont have to go out I guess
What about you? have you got much on ? guess its only 2 days, but I have a lot of 'quiet' days ..

You express yourself very well @HenryX . My note mentioning that you may over intellectualize events is probably not uncommon but a way to protect one self and to avoid uncomfortable feelings. It can be useful in explaining and understanding events. I'm not sure if it is that black and white, because I can explain things in a rationale way, but also have emotions and feel quite raw.
Keep working on yourself and remember to get out and enjoy life too. I'm glad your relationship with your daughter is positive and its having a positive impact in your life. And also your involvement in the community is awesome too. I do hope, your health improves, and particularly your injury to your back and you can retain or improve your mobility and productiveness.
I agree, that having a MI can be challenging (difficult to live with) and debilitating for many of us. However, we do strive to make changes to better manage our MI and with the hope of improving our quality of life. And essentially moving from suffering to having more peace of mind. That is my hope for you and others reading along.
Btw I appreciate your post and learning from you. Best wishes to you too. OG

Thats good it makes (TV) you sleepy @TAB . When I have had access to a TV I have had a similar effect. I don't have much planned over the next two days, you probably have more on than me. I do have an appointment on Friday and other then that don't have much on, other then routine things- tomorrow collecting groceries. I want to do a few things but not sure what, it depends on my energy level and how well I sleep tonight. I have quite a few quiet days too.
