Checking In

Checking In

Hi,

I'm not doing so well. Didn't have a good appointment with psychatrist today and because I am struggling, it is difficult for me to open up.

Re: Checking In

@BlueBay To be honest I am struggling to cope and I am afraid to be judged. I had my GP appointment this afternoon and that didn't go well. I am frustrated by the fact I am not making any progress. And I don't know how to change that. I feel dumb because my memory is not the best and I can't articulate my thoughts. I'm really tired and stressed from seeing someone I knew the other day and that is causing me to feel uncomfortable. And feeling depressed, it makes me feel quite vulnerable. I hate going out to eat and I just ordered a smoothie and the person I was with kept encouraging me to eat. Not sure if you remmeber but I had a sleeve surgery and she knows that. I'm just overwhelmed by spending time with her. I much prefer to spend time with you guys here. I hope- I am making sense. I am just upset when it all boils down.

Re: Checking In

perhaps write things down when you think of them @oceangirl ? Friend does not sound helpful

Re: Checking In

i understand that feeling of wanting to spend time here i think that's normal if its a supportive community @oceangirl
I think it's about balance. We need to balance our time with people.
Perhaps you could raise this thought about your friend her? Tell her you felt overwhelmed maybe.
But i also sympathise - i have friend and people I know I'd rather not go through the motions of having to explain myself and my choices to people.
Not being able to articulate your thoughts can indeed be quite frustrating.

Re: Checking In

I understand what you're saying about being judged because that's me too @oceangirl
I would try to journal your days. Or even when you feel depressed or emotional. Even if you can't write much maybe even writing words that explain how you're feeling.
this will I'm sure help you to open up a bit more.

My phone needs charging and I'm about to go to bed. Will you be okay ?
thinking of you xxxooo
